I ABSOLUTELY HATE these games in foreign countries. It doesn't matter if it's in the UK, Germany, Mexico or Australia. It f'in SUCKS and screws over the fans of those teams and the players as well. Especially going to and from Australia on the slow-boat planes. I mean, it would be a different story if the Concorde was still flying (yes, I know it's supposedly going to start flying again).

It's bad enough that the league f**ks over players with the short week for Thursday games, but the flying 16-18 hours each way really puts a toll on these guys bodies.

A Sunday noon game as one of those really surprises me.
Me too. By the way I corrected my post. It was not the Bills website, it was their fans message board. I know one is not the like the other so did not want to give the false impression that this was official.

Pats back to Germany in week 10. Guessing our bye will be right after that. And this is one of our “away” games.. nice

I was chatting with my STM contact to see how I could get tickets to the Munich game. Turns out that because the Patriots are the "visiting team", there will be very few tickets offered to Patriots season ticket holders. Bummer.

I was planning to go to this game but not if I have to buy tickets on the secondary market. The last time the Patriots played in Europe, I checked the secondary market and found that a cheap seat - way up high - was close to $700, which is way too much, especially when you add in the airfare & hotel(s). I love visiting Germany but for what this one game would cost, I would be better off just scheduling a vacation there.

OK time to start *****ing about the schedule. 3 tough road games in the first four is not great, but my biggest gripe with this schedule is flying to LA to play a Sunday night game against the Chargers before hosting the Bills the next week. Buffalo plays a home thanksgiving day game the same week we play LAC. They get an extra three days to rest and prepare while we have to travel back from the West-Coast after playing a night game. That is some major BS for a game that may decide the division. This should have been the last game of the year.

It is what it is. You play who is on the schedule.

Probably not far off from the real one

If the Pats really are Super Bowl contenders in 2026 then being at least 3-1 after 4 weeks shouldn’t be too much to ask.

I think they have put teams into 6 in recent years. Chiefs especially. So it is possible we get one more primetime slot.
I’m not sure if we’ll get a 6th prime time game, the NFL needs to make sure there are enough of them for the Cowboys.

Just dawned on me out of the 5 night games, four are on the road. NFL sending a message or something?
yes... "Lets make the hard schedule even harder"...

7 of the first 11 games are road games. Including @Seatle and playing in Germany and playing against the Bears in Chicago on a short week after a division rival game.

Away games sandwiching as well.

I know whining is the default setting of this forum but if you look at the schedule of the 4 nighttime road games:

1 is in Seattle to start the season. Unlimited rest time to prepare for the game and then 4 extra days of rest afterwards for Pittsburgh week 2 (you think Steelers fans are happy about that?)

1 is in LA after a bye

1 is in KC on a Monday after a Thursday game, so that’s 3 extra days of rest to prepare

The only one that follows regular rest is TNF in Chicago.

The NFL couldn’t have been any more helpful than they were.

That bears Thursday night game sandwiched between jets and dolphins is doable

According to a post on the Bills messageboard, the Pats are at Buffalo on 10/24/26, game 4, Sunday at 1. If true, ouch, in the first four games, they are at Seattle, Jacksonville and then Buffalo. That is a tough start for sure.
Wouldn't want it any other way.. if we are a real contender like I believe we are then we will show up and compete...

They open at Seattle. Unbelievable!

Not what I was implying at all. They lost
RB Kenneth Walker
Edge Boye Mafe
and less significantly,
S Coby Bryant and CB Riq Woolen

They shored-up their depth in places, but hard to see them as a better team right now.

Whereas I think pretty much everyone believes we are now (including AJ Brown) significantly better than we were at the end of last season. But of course it will take time to integrate Brown into the system, so that's a downside of playing a top team this early.

There are advantages of this being Brown's (and Doubs') first game. There is no scouting report on how the Patriots will use him.

I think they can get Brown up to speed quickly. Todd Downing (the Pats' WR coach) coached Brown in Tennessee. I wouldn't be shocked if Brown already had the playbook and even has been practicing with Maye under the radar. He has changed OCs and offensive systems quite a bit in both Philly and Tennessee. So he knows how to adapt. I think they can put together a package for him week one that can get him open.

Who knows though?

Slow,

I agree with you and @Rob0729.. as the whole point myself that I've tried to get some posters to see is that if there's any game this season that you would want to win for so many reasons it's this one. Week 1.. starting off the season with a win.. facing the team that you know you could have beaten should you had played well on offense and to set the stage showing the league that last season wasn't a fluke.. so you make excellent points they lost key guys K. Walker being the biggest one.

I think starting with a win is less important than you think. The Patriots have lost week one multiple times in years they went to or won the Super Bowl. Belichick said you didn't even get to know what team you have until like week 5 of the season.

If the Pats are going to lose to the Seahawks, I'd rather it be week one than week 11. Teams that do well in the playoffs that finish strong, not start strong.

I’d be good with 2-2.
