2026 Pats schedule leaks

Not thrilled about having to do an international game, but Germany isn’t so bad as far as options go, and if it counts as an away game instead of a home game, it helps too. If it does mean a week 11 bye, that’s pretty good timing for it.

I'm sure we'll be reminded of McCorkle throwing that brutal game losing pick last time in Germany. Yay for us.

Per reddit:

1 home game in the first 4 weeks... oof.

There's gotta be at least one division game in weeks 2-4. My guess is @ MIA.

Dunno about the sacrificial lamb stuff... both teams are not the same teams that played each other in the Super Bowl. I remember the Alex Smith Chiefs were supposed to be the same for the 2017 opener and that didn't go very well for the home team. Win or lose I think it will be a much better football game than the Super Bowl was.

As long as they don't spiral after the Seattle game, it's not a bad thing to open the season with 10 days after your first game, so you can "fix" things.

It’s official now

Don't mind the alternate field at at all avantage Patriots.

I wish they'd come to Ireland for a change.

Still, flight and accommodation has been booked

We have now.

If week #1 CHI @SEA ,I could see this scenario :
@ JAX
vs MIN
@LAC
@SEA

Pats back to Germany in week 10. Guessing our bye will be right after that.
You’re probably right about the bye, which would be damn convenient if the Patriots play Thanksgiving (and works out very well for Detroit who we know will play Thanksgiving). There’s no Dallas this year and obviously the Detroit road game is now spoken for but we could theoretically play Thanksgiving night.

Funny thing is they probably get home earlier following a European game than they would from a road SNF game. It’s a longer trip but it’s a 10 hour head start.

Just as long as they aren't opening against Seattle.

I don't hate having Seattle week one. They have all summer to get ready for the Seahawks. They can fly to and from Seattle without a major disruption in schedule with a long lag time after the game to get back and get over jet lag. Week one teams typically are shaking off rust which is a good point to meet a team like the Seahawks. A lot of upsets week one.

The biggest downsides is if the Pats have a slow start this year like last year and of course the Seahawks and their fans being hyped up from raising the banner.

As for Germany game, if the Pats are going to have an overseas game I think the location and timing is probably the best. It is later mid season so it will give them a rest right before the final stretch of the season assuming they have the bye the following week. It isn't a Thanksgiving game (so it won't conflict with dinner). And Germany will be a home crowd for the Patriots because Kraft has spent a lot of effort in building a fan base in Germany.

Rain,

As a fan.. I'm actually welcoming it should it be the case.. you essentially after Thursday would have the rest of the offseason to have that shot at avenging a terrible display from the superbowl.. putting all your energy into winning that week 1 match up to set the stage for the season and to best them in thier home field. I can bet you Byard will be salivating to make sam darnold look like... well Sam darnold....
