I suspect that 12 positions are truly up for grabs.

Boutte could battle it out with Hollywood Brown on the outside while Lemon could play the slot as he primarily did at USC. With that said, I'd rather keep Boutte as injuries occur and/or Brown and Doubs will need a rest. Boutte isn't in a position to be demanding a trade anyways.
It’s not like the Eagles have a murderer’s row of WR talent. They have Devonta Smith, a talented rookie who could potentially be good. They have guys like Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore who have never reached their potential. They could use a good hands
guy.

There wasn't a lot of production behind Brown and Smith. You had Dotson with 18 receptions on 36 targets for 262 yards.

The Eagles had 1010 Offensive Snaps.
That resulted in 2622 Offensive WR snaps.
Brown had 843 snaps
Smith had 888.
Dotson had 599.

Wicks had only 408 snaps with the Packers, but missed 4 games. I figure they have him penned in to take Dotson's snaps and possibly some of AJ's. How many snaps Lemon get's will be interesting. Same with Marquise Brown if he makes the team..
Jalen Hurts is shrinking again, just like he did in college. He is hyper conservative and afraid to throw at times. He played with a chip on his shoulder entering the league, now he plays like a guy who got a massive contract and is comfortable.

Yeah. I agree. it's like his reads are: 1- Smith, 2- Brown, 3- Goedert 4 - "OH SH*T, i need to run for my life".

Anything beyond 3 and he has issues..

It's why I don't think that Boutte would want to go there. He'd be fighting for snaps behind Lemon and Wicks.

That's why I mentioned the Cardinals, Saints, and Commanders since they are lacking in WR depth behind their main guys. With the Cardinals, he'd potentially be teammates with Bourne.

I don’t have a very high opinion of Wicks. I initially threw Boutte/Douglas into the Brown conversation because of their contract situations. It won’t really matter much where Boutte wants to go, but the Pats would probably want to trade him to an NFC contender just because he has been a good soldier. NFL players don’t always have a firm grasp on “good” or “bad.” For all we know he’d love to go there.

If they trade for Brown and don’t give back a player there will be a roster crunch at the WR position by the end of preseason if everyone stays healthy. They will trade or cut outright some good receivers.

Yeah. So it's nothing but hearsay garbage that hasn't been substantiated by anyone. And you just regurgitate it like a good little lemming.
Perhaps we should ban all rumors and speculation and only include oriven statements and contracts, hopefully notarized.

*Yawn* Typical MG. Spew garbage. Get called out on it and then act like a victim. Seriously. If you had ANY source that had Boutte demanding a trade, you'd have posted it. If your claim that Boutte demanded a trade was factual, your lazy arse could have done a quick search for it and posted the link in the time that you put up your pathetic responses.

Since you don't understand, there is a difference between Rumor, Speculation and pulling s**t out of your arse. This is clearly the 3rd situation. But you'll defend it as if it's gospel.

Let's be 100% clear. This board is about lots more than stating "facts".

I'm not ready to crown Crownover. He's a mixed bag. From what I heard from the Senior Bowl he had some nice reps but a number of brutally bad ones too.
Marcus Bryant is one year younger than Crownover and has a year in the system.

I thought he looked good in TC. Why are people so quick to dismiss Bryant?

Very true. Is why I'm hoping that he has the right people in his ear letting him know he needs another solid year with Drake to really solidly himself. If he remains.. we are talking about AJ, doubs, Boutte, Williams, Hollins, pop likely the WR group. I don't think pop is going anywhere Vrabel as Vrabel's recently mentioned he wants to get pop the ball more.

Bryant was a 7th round/deep backup rated talent and has shown nothing more since he has been here. That being said, he will be given every opportunity to compete for a roster spot. As an aside, Vrabel didn't add Lomu and Crownover because he had great faith in Bryant. Munford was signed as a street free agent to replace him during the season. And Munford was not even good enough to re-sign.

Crownover was a late 3rd - 4th round talent who was drafted lower since he needs development as is a RT only talent. For months, many of us have been expecting us to draft him in the late 3rd third to the late 5th. He is viewed as a potential starter. It would be a disappointment if he doesn't make the 53.

I'll say this about Marcus Bryant and it can't be ignored. He made the 53 man roster out of camp and at no point during the season did he get cut and revert back to the practice squad. So they clearly thought enough of him not to expose him to waivers.

I also believe Bryant offers some positional versatility between the left and right side at OT.
I sure many will correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Crownover offer only 1 side (at this time)?
I do not believe there is a clear path for both to be on the 53 man roster, unless the team decides to carry 5 OT's (Campbell, Moses, Lomu are locks)

Are you saying that Lumo isn't a good enough backup at LT?

Crownover is indeed a RT-only player. There will camp competition to be sure, but I suspect that he is a much better backup at RT than Bryant, and a better choice for 5th OT.

That being said, if both look good, I could see carrying 5 OT's with Crownover and Bryant expected to be 2027 backups to Campbell and Lumo.

I said Lomu is a roster lock

reread what I posted. you got my entire post wrong

Of course, Lumo is a lock as the anyone in the first 4 rounds always is.

The point is that if Lomu is definitely here, then there is no problem with the #4 developmental OT being RT-only.

If we didn't have a competent backup LT, then Bryant possibly being that backup would be important.

The best #4 may very well be the best RT, even if he is RT-only.

Where are you getting that Crownover is a RT-only?? You just making things up again?

Crownover played both LT and RT in college. So, explain how he is a "RT only" player

ROFL

I apologize. Crownover did play 1% of his reps at LT. 22 out of 1886.

And yes, he will take LT reps in camp.

We are talking about a Wallace-like conversion if you want Crownover to be a LT.

Crownover played 1702 Offensive Line Snaps on the O-line.
Crownover played 37 Offensive snaps as the Jumbo TE/FB.
Crownover played 157 Special Teams snaps.

It's really disingenuous of you to combine the STs snaps in with the Offensive snaps
BTW, in 2022, when Crownover took his 22 OT snaps, that was the position he was practicing at all year while backing up Starting LT Trey Zuhn.

But, I'm sure you'll fabricate some other BS to put the guy down.

You think that suggesting someone is a RT is putting the guy down. To each his own.

I have said that I was very disappointed when Crownover wasn't draft in the 4th or 5th. I expect him to be at least a long-term backup at RT.

It is you who wants to be a swing and also play LT. IMO, we tried and failed with Wallace.
