Reiss: Vrabel will not be present day 3 of draft

If he's going through a divorce, that will be on our time too. He won't be able to wait until off days to be distracted by it.

And as I pointed out very early in the thread, NFL families make a lot of sacrifices. These players and especially coaches miss a lot of events, a lot of moments. Yes, maybe their marriage is over already and trying to save it will prove futile. But making her a priority over football at least one time might be something she really needed.

I find it difficult to believe that someone who's been messing around on his wife on or off or straight through at least 6 years is going to find divorce difficult to handle.

Dude checked out.

I didn't get the idea. If you're following the thread that's the excuse others are making.

I don't care if he's treating sex addiction or going off to couples therapy. I don't care if it's a group setting or if it's the two of them. Wether there's a councilor there or not.

What I care about is he won't be at work during the draft. You should care about that too.
I saw a couple of lamebrained suggestions that he’s a serial cheater. Did not see any suggestion of sex addiction. Serial cheater is not a synonym for sex addiction. If there was anything else posted suggesting sex addiction I missed it. That’s a pretty significant psychopathology, at least as I understood what Wade Boggs told us. Serial cheating is not on the same level as I understand it.

Honestly by the time it’s day 3 of the draft I’m not too worried about who is in the room. What matters is who is left on the board and by then they’ve been well picked over. TBH I’d expect they’ll reset the board on Friday night and an intern could probably do as well as anyone else mailing the picks in. I’m more concerned about the UDFA choices, and that’s another list I’m sure is already written up and just waiting to be updated as the draft wraps up. To me it’s really NBD.

Maybe I’m wrong but to me this just said you’re unmarried.

Think about it this way:

Your wife is pissed at you because you disrespected her.
She demands you spend time with her on Saturday to atone.
Your response is “Saturday is not good for me, how about some other day?”

Does your response improve things, or make them worse by repeating the offense?
This whole thing broke 17 days ago. It isn't believable to think Mrs. Vrabel is saying "it has to be this Saturday or forget the whole thing!!" If it was that urgent she wouldn't have waited 17 days.

The "counseling" is scheduled for the final day of the draft so Vrabel can avoid media questions.

You simply say this is about the players who worked hard their whole lives to get here and we're going to celebrate them. Ignore any personal question and move on to the next person. Done.

Thumbs down to whoever insisted that Vrabel skip work on one of the most important days of his work year.

No Vrabel on day 3? Ok

I did read earlier he'd be out of state with his wife and sons. Maybe it's about his sons. For all we know, the divorce is happening but his wife wants to make sure he still has a relationship with their boys. And perhaps he was told by one or both of them that he wouldn't if he's not there for their mom this one time.

Yes, the media is notorious for respecting people who request they stick to football....

Tom Brady was asked MANY times about his hand he hurt in practice leading up to the AFC Championship. How much information did he give them? Better yet, how much was he forced to give them?

Was Tom Brady introducing the next generation of Patriots players?

Wild she named her kid Michael while having an affair with Vrabel. Her husband should 100% get a paternity test.
I'm not saying the kid is Vrabel's, but Ohio State just offered him an NIL deal for 2040....

That, or say "I nutted all over those giant buzzooms, any more questions?"...

Was Tom Brady introducing the next generation of Patriots players?
No. He was talking to the media before playing the Jaguars. He deflected or said basically nothing to any question regarding his finger.

So why exactly would Coach Vrabel be incapable of doing the same thing and answer nothing that isn't related to the next generation of Patriots players?

Vrabel would be able to shoot down questions, but you're missing the point. This weekend is about the players NE selects. The Patriots don't want the press conference introducing Players A, B, C and D to be non-stop Vrabel questions. That's what would happen if Vrabel was here.

It is a distraction and a headache they don't need right now. Let the new players have their moments in the spotlight.

I did not read the last 12 pages of the thread. Did anyone figure out why Russini's oldest son is named Mike?

So nobody is going to ask Wolf about it?

We’ve got this fellas. We’ve endured worse, this too shall pass.

Eventually.

Won’t have a definitive answer until the DNA results come back.
