See, I think I’m with you if he already wasn’t deeply loved by players. Josh McDaniels on the Raiders is out the door the second that story comes out.

When you build that level of being a players coach, you build some buffer room to screw up with your players from a personal life standpoint.

He isn’t some hard nosed ******* with his players that basically teaches that he can do no wrong.

It isn't denial. He could be kissing her. He could be leaning over the bar. A blurry picture at an angle that doesn't clarify what is going on doesn't prove anything.

Again, if Vrabel and Russini were conducting a very public affair for six years where they didn't care who saw them hooking up, why is it just coming out now? They are both famous. Usually they couldn't do this under the radar.

I am not denying it was a kiss. I am not denying they could have had a six plus year affair. I am just saying it could be much more innocent and the picture isn't definitive of anything.

Agreed. It ultimately is unlikely we fire him unless something completely new comes out. I do think it’s a chance he steps down, but more likely he doesn’t.

I’d put it at 75-25 overall right now.

No illegal things going on, but like I brought up originally, can the players trust a coach who causes off field distractions, at the same time telling them to behave correctly on and off the field. I’m sure the players love him, but I’m sure it has to be on their minds. Or maybe they don’t give a ****.

I’m hoping he doesn’t lose his job or he quits. He’s a great coach, and perfect for this team.

Only six more hours before you idiots stop posting this stuff for a little while at least. Coaches don't get fired for affairs when owners don't get touched (haha) for massages. When Jimmie Johnson became coach of the Cowboys he divorced his wife of 26 years because he was obsessed with winning and wanted to dedicate himself fully to the team, stating he had no time for marriage and needed to live alone to focus entirely on football. Vrabel cheated on his wife and they are going to therapy. Just leave the guy alone and let him work on himself.

Maybe I am an idiot but I wonder if it helps his image with the players, specifically, in some ways. It's another level of a "player's coach" - he's not just a former player, he's also a guy who screws up just like they screw up. He's always preached that he's in the trenches with them and in a way this is an example of that. When they mess up he will back them; when he messes up they will back him. He's never held himself as being above the team, it's always been a pretty level field. He can show them his example of how to take accountability for his mistake which current/future players can follow when they inevitably run into trouble, assuming it does not cross certain lines. He held onto Diggs and Barmore when they had issues, and the things they were accused of were much more severe.
