WEEI afternoons: Hart and Fitzy gone

Hart on PFW was a total douche…screaming like an idiot. But IMO he’s a better radio personality.

I used to be a WEEI guy but that was a long time ago. I can't even name any of the WEEI personalities except Greg Hill, whom I still listen to.

Never found them compelling.

I can youtube anything from GA but mostly stick to Cattles, Bedard, Curran/Perry.

I used to listen online or on YouTube. Enjoyed WEEI when they had Kirk and Callahan in the mornings, and Fauria in the afternoon. My Patriots news now comes from the Zo show, Bedard, and Curran/Perry.

I thought Hill, Wiggy and Ted did a good job on location for SB week.

Isn’t this like Andy Harts third time being taken off the radio on WEEI.

I was good with Fitzy's YouTube stuff back in the day, but drifted away and pretty much look back on it with a glint of nostalgia for those good ol days when we wore the latest Super Bowl Champion hats and argued over TFB's impending contract or why BB couldn't draft a WR or whatever...

Haven't listened to WEEI since...1999(?)

Hart always struck me as an inherently untalented guy who adopted a phony media persona. In other words, forcing a glib and provocative identity vs. just being genuine.

I think that maybe the way to go these days might be doing the opposite of the hot takes culture. Do something unique and different. Kinda hit a relaxing and informative format. Maybe include some teaching segments. Have Ted Johnson talk about the unseen things a linebacker has to do. Maybe have some days where you make it all fan call-ins talking about favorite memories of a specific team, season, etc.

Find little historical stories for each team to talk about. Maybe a segment about the development of the passing game from early days to now. Bring in Grogan, Drew, Tom (if you can) and have them talk about the transitions in how the QB position played. Maybe Eason, too.

Random aside...looking at the way they played... I sincerely think Eason would be more appreciated in the modern game. He was all about a controlled measured passing game which didn't suit the '80s. And I think Drew would have been way more at home in the more lax, gunslinging '80s. Imagine Drew with Fryar and Morgan!

Fitzy is pretty good. He lost his mind on Ted last week, wonder if this played a role in it.

Thank God Andy is gone. One of the most miserable pricks I've ever had to tolerate in my driving time.

Ted sucks. His anger toward Bill has clouded his ability to be impartial.

Whoever they hire, anyone short of Felger him self is going to be fired in 18 months. Time to fold the station.
