Russini & Vrabel Nothing to see here?

That is looking intimate to you? You must be a very horny guy.
Everyone takes their personal views to form an opinion. I live in a tight knit community, with lots of house parties. Woman you barely know expect a hug and kiss on the cheek when greeting at these parties.

If it wasn't for those 2 holding hands before the hug (which looks like an awkward, not intimate hug in the snapshot) none of the photos look like anything meaningful. Seems odd that someone trying to catch her cheating got no photos that were definitive like heading back to the same room, a kiss etc.

Of course, I have no idea how well Russini and Vrabel knew/know each other and whether even that level of affection was warranted.

Russini quitting was meaningless as her contract was up in June, and they would shelve her until then, guilty or innocent quitting was 100% what she had to do. Otherwise, the investigation would drag on until June and if they concluded they found nothing untoward the public wouldn't believe it. The NYT/Athletic would not renew her contract because she has lost the public trust and because they'd not renew the public would say the report was a cover up and she obviously did it. Resigning shortens the story, 100% the right move regardless of guilt.

People living a life with certain values and experiences see this as cheaters; others with different life experiences are keeping an open mind as it is plausible it could just be good friends but also realize it might be cheating.

Personally, I think there is just a lot missing if they were having an affair. There should be more evidence than these photos unless it was the very first time they decided to get together. But then it appears nothing actually happened or there'd be more photos.

The only way that Vrabel will be injured by this is IF his wife divorces him.

Kraft and the NFL can and will do nothing.
Of course.

If the pictures were of her being bent over the railing while being hammered by Vrabel it still wouldn't matter. It has absolutely nothing to do with football.

I was sent to a catholic school when I was a child. Best thing that could have happened to me. I was agnostic by the age of 7, and never gave those pedos a chance to molest me.
I've never understood why catholic priests couldn't be married.

He sued for 7 figures and won a bunch of pre-trial court rulings. When the case is going your way, you don't settle for pennies on the dollar.

And Disney may be rich but they are the cheapest, most penny pinching SOBs on the planet. They don't just give away millions when not necessary.

You have no idea what they settled for. Lawsuits settle for far less than what the plaintiff is asking for all the time. When settlements are made public, you see them being far less than the asking price in many cases. I would bet JPP got something like a few hundred grand. Disney would see that as an acceptable loss rather than getting verdict that would set a legal precedence that would open then up to more potential lawsuits in the future.

And that is a big factor for settling for corporations. A legal verdict on a case like this makes it more likely for them to get more lawsuits. They are not just looking the case they are defending, but how that case could cost them more money with more lawsuits. And this affects Disney beyond ESPN because they own many news outlets.

If her husband doesn't divorce her then he's a ****. Once she cheats, she's for the streets.

He crossed the line doing that. The way he reported on Haskin's death I thought was going to get cancelled. Regardless, women are walking on eggshells already and it gives women reporters who are actually good at their jobs a bad name.

What does how he reported Haskins’ death have anything to do with HIPAA laws? The way he reported the death was a **** move since he basically called him a bust while reporting his death, but I don’t even know he realized how his tweet would be taken and he quickly pull it down.

The JPP case is that it appears his medical records were potentially illegally obtained, but there is no evidence Schefter was involved in obtaining those records. There is no evidence that we know of that Schefter was involved involved in obtaining those records.

I did forget until now that he posted the records online which crosses the line. I don’t have a problem with him reporting the information on those records as long as he was not involved in obtaining them legally. JPP is a public figure and the story was news.

You have no idea what they settled for.
Neither do you. But I do know he won the early court maneuvering and I stand by my statement that when you are winning, you don’t settle for pennies.

Bull. There’s no reason to resign if she is not guilty. You let the investigation play out and have her employer exonerate her publicly.

Even if her contract expires, it would be extremely beneficial for her former employer to publicly declare there’s just nothing there.

In this low attention span society this thing will die on the vine and be replaced with something even more scandalous.

Marty Schottenheimer got taken down by a hair stylist and he survived.

I heard that one. Some waitress in Cleveland as well.

Hell BB was named the other man in a divorce trial....while still married.

Vrabel's career will be fine. This will go away in time. Not sure about his marriage but that is another issue.

The KC hairstylist was much younger and Martys wife forced him to resign from the Chiefs and they moved out of the area.

This sort of thing is commonplace top to bottom in Pro sports.

There is nothing that the NFL can do.

If they were at a private resort holding hands and looking the same way as Vrabel-Russini, then it would tell a different story. A very bizarre, uncomfortable one at that.

A man and a woman in a private setting looking intimate in several poses is a big deal. Everyone caught in that situation will deny it was anything other than friendly or casual or professional. Yet, look at the alternative explanation and ask which is more plausible. Do colleagues really end up “accidentally” appearing intimate to that degree? Very unlikely.

I do think there is something going on with them but just surprised there's no video to confirm it. She has the reputation she does for a reason.

Already the conspiracy theories are starting that she is falling on the sword to cover up text message evidence of tampering by Vrabel.

We are so freaking back. Lol

That's why I think video will tell us a lot more. Maybe there really is video and it hasn't been released yet. If I was the PI there's no way I'm not taking video.

I said didn't know. I specifically stated what I guessed what they might have paid out.

Again, the only way he would have a case is that if he could prove that Schefter did something illegal to get the medical records.

The problem for Schefter and Disney, the burden of proof is on them that they didn't in a civil case. And the only way to do that is giving up sources. It is something they cannot do. It would be extremely hard for them to do and win the case.

There would be pictures in the hallway leading to the hotel room. Pictures of them going in and out of the room, etc. There are far too few pics and the pics are not "intimate". LOL

Is the rumor she talks to Vrabes who in turn relays those messages to AJ Brown?

TBH I think that happens already.

I'm sure the hotel security cameras have lots of footage.

Yeah, that's about right. IMO it could be an affair or it could be two old friends hanging out and getting caught up.

I find it disappointing that various people are quick to drop the presumption of innocence and conclude this is an affair based on a couple of photos and a story from a known scandal sheet.

It seems to me they want to promulgate a climate where social boundaries are rigorously enforced, rather than relying on trust to keep their partners faithful to commitments they've made to monogamous relationships.

Agreed. Tbh the NFL calls even that tampering but I don't think they care enough to investigate every single team and find them guilty of doing this.
