This year, the league also will likely play one or more games on Saturday, December 26, and on Thursday, December 24. It sets up a full, five-day run of games, from Thursday through Monday.
The Patriots have never played on Christmas Day
Here is their Christmas Eve history

Diluting the league and it's value. Not monetarily because that's all the owners care about.

Letting Amazon legislate to have more short week games for players is insane. Lawsuit waiting to happen.

Nflpa is worthless.

Interesting - maybe some posturing by Netflix to take away some of the most watched NFL games from Paramount/Warner Brothers after being outbid in their acquisition efforts of Warner Brothers and the non-NFL sports they currently have

Thanksgiving they spread the network coverage around but Netflix wants to lock in viewers and lock out other networks on a huge ratings day

I guess we'll find out who gets the Thanksgiving eve

I won't be surprised if that's Netflix too

I don't see how the value of the game is diluted by playing them on more days.

Are games really MORE valuable if they are all played on Sunday?

I do feel sorry for those diehard football fans who are among the 28% of American households who don't have Netflix.

I hear and understand all the negatives
but I love it!

Netflix is increasing their price at a egregious rate.

Netflix is literally just a cable subscription.

Hear me now and believe me later:

The day is coming where you will have to pay extra for "premium" content. IOW, simply having a Netflix subscription will not get access to the NFL, you will have to pay even more for the NFL games.

They already do that...

I know they have a couple tiers but my understanding is their NFL broadcasts are currently available to all tiers. People with standard plans are seeing the same game as those with premium plans.

Oh. Yea the football isn't gatekeeped yet but unless you have their top tier plan there is a bunch of content blocked.

For sure sports is next.
