Pundit mock drafts 2026 [maybe with FAILs]

Ok, which one of you is Pat Lane? I have my suspicions.....

For completeness' sake, I'll post the picks here:

1-31: OT Max Iheanachor (Arizona State | No. 37)
2-63: DB Treydan Stukes (Arizona | No. 67)
3-95: ED Keyron Crawford (Auburn | No. 100)
TRADE: NE trades 4-125 and 6-191 to TB for 4-116
4-116: WR Ja’Kobi Lane (USC | No. 111)
4-131: TE Joe Royer (Cincinnati | No. 147)
5-171: RB Adam Randall (Clemson | No. 195)
6-198: G Micah Morris (Georgia | No. 212)
6-202: LB Red Murdock (Buffalo | No. 235)
6-212: ED George Gumbs Jr. (Florida | No. 217)
7-247: DT Jordan Van Den Berg (Georgia Tech | No. 300)

31. OT - check
63. EDGE - check
95. TE - check
125. S - check
131. LB - check

Plus Adam Randall, Micah Morris, Jordan Van den Berg, George Gumb and Haynes King.

Good haul.

I prefer other players at the same position for the first 5 picks (Max Iheanachor. DDS, Sam Roush, VJ Payne and Kaleb Elarms-Orr), but there's nothing wrong with Lazar's guys.

I've realized I want one more 4th round pick, for a WR. For example:

*** Trade 31 to Arizona for 34 and104.
34. OT (Iheanachor/Miller)
63. EDGE (DDS/Jacas/Moore)
95. TE/WR (Roush/Delp/Hurst)
104. WR/TE (Stribling/Roush/Delp)
125. S (Payne/Wheatley/Clark)
131. LB (Elarms-Orr)

That would leave 6 picks to cover CB, RB (Randall), IOL (Morris), DT, slot WR and anything else).

1.31 OT Blake Miller, Clemson
2.63 EDGE Derrick Moore, Michigan
3.95 TE Oscar Delp, Georgia
4.125 S Bud Clark, TCU
4.131 LB Aiden Fisher, Indiana
TRADE: NE trades 6.190* and 6.200* to GB for 5.160
5.160 DT Dontay Corleone, Cincinnati
5.169* RB Adam Randall, Clemson
6.208* G Micah Morris, Georgia
6.211* QB Haynes King, Georgia Tech
7.247 T/G Logan Taylor, Boston College
*Those are the numbers he has, but they're not right.

I'd take Rolder over Fisher, not that I dislike Fisher, and Corleone's health scares me but that's a very good mock. I still don't think we've done enough at EDGE, one can't fault Moore's production but I do wonder how well his 'run through you' approach translates.

3-round mock from Ryan Wilson at CBS Sports:

For the Pats:

31. Blake Miller, RT, Clemson
63. Eli Stowers, TE, Vanderbilt
95. Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE, Penn St.

I would be happy with that.
Ya, this would be close to a homerun.
Only complaint is Stowers over both Hurst and Bell (doesn't even have Bell in the first 3 rds). I would prefer one of those two, even tho I like Stowers. Just think you can get quality pass catching TEs later, but I guess there's intriguing WRs available later too.
Overall it would be very hard to complain if our first 3 rds went that way.

Completely agree, but wouldn't quibble.

31. OT - check
63. EDGE - check
95. TE - check
125. S - check
131. LB - check
I hope some team wants a 5 year contract for Ty Simpson and we trade down slightly for an extra 3rd or 4th I know I am repeating myself). That allows us to add "WR - check" to the above list. Roughly 3 offensive and 3 defensive picks in the Top 120. Then the 5th, 6th and 7th for specialty guys, backup LB, Slot Receiver, DT "fatty", RB3, backup OL, CB4, etc.

I said exactly that above.

*** Trade 31 to Arizona for 34 and 104
34. Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona St.
63. Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE, Penn St.
97. Ted Hurst, WR, Georgia Tech
104. Sam Roush, TE, Stanford
125. VJ Payne, S, Kansas St.
131. Kaleb Elams-Orr, LB, TCU
171. Ephesians Prysock, CB, Washington
191. Adam Randall, RB, Clemson
198. Eli Heidenreich, slit WR, Navy
202. Jordan Van den Berg, SL, Georgia Tech
212. Micah Morris, IOL, Georgia
247. Haynes King, QB, Georgia Tech

There are lots of variations, but the basic idea is the same.

I agree you said it above. I was supporting you, lifting you up, agreeing with you, encouraging you, praising you, and admiring your ideas.

Well thank you!

There is nothing about this team that can't be fixed by having the first 10 picks in the draft.

And next year, too.

So the official website for the NE Patriots posted this tweet?

Phil Perry mock with trade back:

With Iheanachor and Miller off the board, trade-back makes sense. Arizona good partner. Gabe Jacas at 34 reasonable.

But I have a 5th-6th round grade on Caleb Tiernan. I don't see him as future starter material.

If OT doesn't fall fall favorably, don't reach for one. Get someone who can make a difference in the long run. Tiernan isn't that guy, IMHO.

I don't know what options were available. But a draft like:

34. Gabe Jacas, EDGE, Illinois
63. Treydan Stukes, Jacob Rodriguez, Jake Golday, Chris Bell or Ted Hurst
95. Sam Roush, TE, Stanford
104. Travis Burke, OT, Memphis

Would work better for me.

Pat "Mayo" Lane is my guess. LOL

2 round mock from Josh Norris and Hayden Winks

I hate it. Cashius Howell at 31 (over Akheem Mesidor), Max Klare at 63.

Norris predicts Mesidor will go 2nd round.

Bruce Feldman is on drugs:

He has the Pats taking Blake Miller at 31, which is reasonable.

I. fact, I thought his whole draft was fairly reasonable ...

until I saw he had Arizona trading #3 to Dallas for #12 and 92!!!

In what universe does that happen?

Dallas' 12 and 20 probably aren't enough to get to #3. 12 and 92 gets you to around 10.

Not this one. That said, 12+20 is a bit low; they'd probably need to toss in a 2027 pick to make that happen, especially if Jerruh is the one initiating the trade.
