They have great draft position because they have sucked for years, and they have sucked for years because they suck at drafting and other forms of team building including picking the coaching staff. Other parts of their draft capital came because they traded one of the few talents they had drafted in the last several years. The shelf is pretty empty. They might have a lot of draft capital, but given how badly they need QB talent it's a bad year to have the #2 pick overall in a 1 QB draft.

I actually pull for ex-Jets QBs as I know Woody Johnson and co. have killed the careers of a lot of QBs and have thus hurt the entire league

Ironic that after salvaging his carerr, Geno will return to let the Jets kill it in the end!

Wilson has skills (he wouldn't still be in the NFL if he didn't) but we all knew he would fail with the Jets like everyone does.

The Saints are actually a GREAT opportunity for him - they're not going to get a real prospect in the draft and if he can outplay the guy with the 5-4 record as a starter ahead of him, he actually might get a legit chance. If he can't I'd think he's on his last contract (can't believe the Fins paid him $6 mil last year)
