NFL News Dolphins Trading Jaylen Waddle to Broncos

Share the latest NFL news from around the league here.
I’m not giving a 1 for Brown. Period.

No one outside of NE wants him, he doesn’t separate anymore.

2 next year or F off Howie.

Not sure I wouldn’t just take Boston if there at #31.
This…there’s more of a reason than “Brown was a Pats fan growing up” as to why ZERO other teams have been reported to be after him (except the Rams for a minute)

well, who are the other suitors? if eagles are bluffing and can’t bring AJB back, they’ll have to take the best offer.
What you’re saying

The Eagles are holding onto Brown until June 1st for financial reasons but they have almost zero leverage now and NE, along with every other team, knows it.

It remains to be seen where Brown ultimately plays next season, but I’m almost certain the Eagles won’t get a 1 for him.

I’ll do it for ya, I’ll give them that 31st pick today, tommorow, and the next day. Brown improves this offense immediately. You’re forgetting he’s playing with a QB that was kicked to the curb for Tua.

Thats nuts. I don't even know if I would do that for Justin Jefferson.

EDIT: Never mind, I read that as 3 firsts. Still wouldn't do it for 31.

The Eagles aren’t trading him until June 1st, that’s pretty obvious now. They’re stuck because of the CAP hit. There’s no way I’m giving up a 1st for Brown because of this and that’s why you hear crickets around the league right now. No team wants to give up a first for Brown.

The Pats are doing the right thing by waiting this out until June and I don’t see them giving up more than a 2nd rd pick if they go after him at all. Brown didn’t look like a WR1 last season and it wasn’t all because of him being disgruntled in Philly.

If being a homer means I don't panic trade every pick in the draft each and every time another team in my conference adds a player, I guess that's me.
I'll will say this Fact a better QB than Drake Maye lives in this Division. I'm sure you'll know his name: and Homers please tell me the Younger Maye is currently better. I'll say this Mahomes - Allen - Lamar and Bo Nix ain't kissing Drake Maye's rings this upcoming season. Games aren't played on paper we Need a lot more than we currently have.

Is he?

Only one 1000 yard season in the last 3 years, no?

Hes good, but has never been a dominant player over multiple years...
Didn't we all know Tua sucks.

I don't think Sutton is a true #1 either. His catch rate sucks. He caught 59.6% of the passes thrown to him last year. That doesn't even make the top 100 in catch percentage in the NFL. And last year wasn't an anomaly. He had a 60% catch rate in 2024.

I know a lot of that has to do with Bo Nix who is wildly inconsistent in his passing. But you cannot be a legitimate #1 receiver and not even catch 60% of the passes thrown to you. #1 WRs don't always have the highest catch percentage because they get a lot more low percentage throws their way, but the Broncos are all about short passing and letting the receiver make plays after the catch and under 60% is still really low.
Sure wish the N.E. Patriots had a WR like Courtland Sutton: I would take his numbers and TD totals over the last three years thank you.

The patriots fanbase are the biggest culprits of thinking WR is not that big of a deal. To be fair, we had the greatest QB of all time that made it look like it wasn't a big deal because he made it work with whatever he had... That isn't reality though for most other QBs.

Drake will have an improved group than the WR room that had the 4th best passing attack in the league in 2025. An improved OL and the people to give him a better running attack. And it's only 3/17
IF Pats had got Waddle you'd be salivating it. I entertained the thought of the Dolphins moving him: thought we would be in on it. Really hoping A.J. Brown is still in play we don't have the horses that can consistently Beat Man Coverage. Not many powder puffs on the schedule in 26: we don't play the Jets or Dolphins every week.

How can you even write this stuff? Everyone knows Josh Allen is a top 3 QB in this league. Its not even debatable. Everyone knows Drake just finished his second year and made a run at the MVP. Those are just facts. You have no point. We are six freaking days into free agency and you once again act like an idiot. Do you ever just take a break?

None of the teams competing for Brown will be willing to pay a 2027 first for Brown? Why not? This is much different than giving a 1st or more in the current draft.

The question is NOT whether PHI has leverage. The question is what the teams competing for him are willing to pay.

Assuming the same restructuring that is in the current contract, there will be a cap of hit of under $10M for the team trading for Brown. In any case, there could be a new contract as part of the negotiations. PHI should be allowed to try to go out and find a deal and bring it back to the team. Of course, the team will also have call directly from interested teams.
==========
For me, the question is why wouldn't a team needing a WR be willing to give a first for Brown, especially given the kinds of deals already done.

Exactly and won't EVER Be the REALITY for Drake Maye. Do these Patsfans remember who MVP Matthew Stafford was throwing to?? Nacua and Adams but the Patriots don't need no stinking WR.

We never beat him until this year...
The GOAT HC BB couldn't be beat him with his middle of the road Patriot Teams.

There! It's right there in your last sentence! We aren't a WR away, so why are so desperate to trade multiple high picks for one? How do we acquire the rest of the "lot more?"

March 17th, 2025: most of us are hopeful from the free agent pickups that we can show obvious improvement after two straight 4-13 seasons

March 17th, 2026: there's currently 2 teams in the conference better than us!!!!! The sky is falling!!!!!! F**k!!!!!!!!!

How spoiled are you?

I should have emphasized Wide Receivers my bad. Romeo Doubs alone ain't cutting it with that group.

But we signed a long snapper LOL....sorry I couldn't help myself

So we're so stacked and deep at every other position we should just say "screw it Philly. Name your price. We'll pay anything?"
