It is blatantly obvious. That seemed like the most likely scenario in the first place, and then the immediate contract for Hendrickson the very next morning confirms it.

Imagine being a Ravens fan going to bed last night with Crosby on the roster, waking up and finding out that Crosby is gone and now Hendrickson is on the roster. Ridiculous. At least you get your picks back. I'd be pretty pissed off if I was a Raiders fan. But I'd probably already be upset in general if I was a Raiders fan.

Crosby with a gimpy knee still way better than anyone else we could get. His knee can't be that bad or it would have shown up on the MRIs that were shared prior to the physical. Pretty awkward for him to stay with the Raiders at this point, and I doubt Brady still has a veto now. Could be some sort of conditional deal with some draft picks next year that depends on his playing time.

“Testing” and a “physical” aren’t quite the same though. Generally teams have a full slate they run through on a physical to pass a player which he would never be able to pass right now, and that was known. So any “testing” done was just some basic level evaluation and prognosticating rehab timelines based on that.

Testing is PART of a physical, Ross. Failed physical is a broad statement. The league doesn't have a "Failed Medical" designation.

We wouldn't necessarily have heard about a detailed issue because of HIPAA. The Ravens aren't allowed to outright say "We found that Crosby has a degenerative knee condition".

Crosby's long term prognosis was deemed too risky by a team of Ravens and independent doctors. Could be re-injur risk was high. Degenerative condition, etc. Could be BS. Could be legit.

If legit, no thanks.
