Patriots Rumor Tracker / FA Signings (Updated: Signings in OP - 4/7)

Not that they have a lot of cap space, but seems to me if they're going to be bad, the best way to do that is to "waste" cap space on one player and then just have a bunch of rookies and cheap players fill out the roster.

They'll lose AND identify some good players among the JAGs.
Salary floors are a thing now.

I worry about concussions, they’re cumulative and players retire early. Like I said, if he’s healthy he’d be a great signing.
I worry about Concussions as well. I fully understand that they are cumulative. But I'm also pointing out that he's not had one since 2022 and hasn't missed any time for a concussion since that injury..

40 times are pretty overrated. All that matters is if a receiver knows how to get open. Does speed help? Sure. But I'd take smart, precise route runners all day over straight line burners.

Know who else ran a 4.71 40? Jerry Rice. So, yeah, consider me as someone who doesn't care about 40 yard times.

Jerry Rice was a rookie 40 years ago.
Times have changed.

They haven't changed as far as getting open and running routes. Dude still ran away from people like Darrell Green and Deion Sanders.

I think Amendola too.

Not if they're still looking for a first round pick, hell no.

At some point y'all gonna have to accept that in order to get a real wr in here you're gonna have to pay.

They sure as **** ain't going to find one in the draft them self.

Brock Lampe ain’t the guy…

I think Amendola too.
Amendola ran a 4.68 at the Combine and a 4.58 at his Pro Day..

Chism ran a 4.72 -40.. But he ran a 6.77 3-cone and a 4.06 Short Shuttle.

Chism had a decent 10yard at 1.63, ran the next 10 in 1.1 and the final 20 in 2.. So, he actually sped up over distance.
