Right - any other team with that many first round draft picks and previous picks starting (both LT and RT) would be ripe for a quick turnaround. The crazy thing is that they, for once, put themselves in a decent position to build for the long term by accumulating a treasure trove of draft capital, as well as freeing up tons of cap space...only to keep this moron on for another year to muck it all up.
Sorry, the Jets already hired Frank Reich this offseason so they can have an experienced interim head coach for next year already on staff.I ****ing hope not
The Gang Green want him gone so badly, I love their tears ..He will never be fired by the Jets. When he was a player, his Madden score was 95. He is the Jets' head coach for life.
Essentially all coaching contracts have offsets, so McDaniels isn't getting the full $10M on top of his Pats salary. At first I'm like "what is he TRYING to get fired?"
And then I remembered he's got 4 more years at $10 million a year guaranteed to either coach the Jets or watch them from his couch
I know which I'd choose - and yes, I would actually watch them from my couch for $10 million a year but not a dollar less.
Heck, even Josh McDaniels is still getting $10 million this year and next from the Raiders.
Interestingly as we're wondering why McDaniels wasn't more active in the head coaching chatter, it may indeed be because everyone knows he'd be giving up $20 million from the Raiders alone to leave here before 2028!
I also believe this is the final year of his Raiders contract.Essentially all coaching contracts have offsets, so McDaniels isn't getting the full $10M on top of his Pats salary.
If Glenn falls asleep watching the combine, watching the Jete from his couch would put him in a coma.At first I'm like "what is he TRYING to get fired?"

No argument from me.I ****ing hope not
He fell asleep because he was just bored because there was no point watching, he’s so smart he already knows every player they’ll be picking!Time to resurrect the narrative on Reddit that he's a good coach who just needs some time.
Everyone knows he fell asleep because he put in such a long night watching film of the combine participants.
Everyone knows he's a step ahead of the average coach in his ability to identify talent.
Etc.
