2026 Draft: Tight Ends

Im not sure about Dippre. Was expecting to see someting from him this year.
But i want Lampe and Larison in the mix next year.
Expecting an UFDA to contribute/see something is peak dynasty expectations.....not reality. Maybe you meant you were hoping he would see the gameday roster.

I too would like to see both Lampe & Larison be healthy and produce.

I getting sold on Dallen Bentley. Firstly I didn't know he was 260lb. Secondly, watch below. That's pretty good athleticism and speed for a 260lb guy. Thirdly, while his blocking grades aren't exceptional, they're okay and better than quite a few in the class. finally, zero drops on the year. I would have liked a better contested catch rate of only 25%.

I’ve become quite enamored with Ohio State TE Max Klare. He just seems like such an explosive pass catcher as a TE. He had some excellent YAC plays. Needs to improve as a blocker, and some have him as the 2nd best TE in the class, so he might go pretty high in the draft.

I don't know what to make of Marlin Klein. There's some good stuff here but I'm not blown away. Particularly by the YAC. It will be interesting to see how he does at the combine.

He runs and catches very smoothly for a 6'6" tall guy. Doesn't look clunky like most 6'6" guys. Runs nice routes, willing blocker, and catches with his hands (his hands look big). Not a superstar, but seems OK to me.

But he's always tackled almost as soon as he catches the ball. I'd just liked to have seen him be a bit more dynamic, that's all. A bit more of a threat. Bruce Feldman made athletic comparisons to Colston Loveland and I was just hoping for a bit more Loveland from his game.

Perhaps when he started playing football, catching the ball became the end all. The play stops for him.

No Loveland in his game. I agree. Not quick or explosive. Regular 6'6" athletic guy, not uber athletic.

Kanak is probably too short for an ideal TE but a 6'3" guy who runs sub 4.5 probably counts as a potential 'playmaker'.

My question would be at what weight did he run that? Just did a quick look and his Maxpreps page has him listed at 6-2 210. He could be a good move TE, Hernandez was 6-2 245 so its possible. He could also be brought in as competition for Lampe

Quality minds think alike.

My only issue with the Hernandez comp (apart from the obvious) is that he was a Bill O'Brien guy. McDaniels has never been a good user of move TEs that I remember. The one that comes to mind was Jonnu Smith that didn't go all that well. I might be wrong on this, my memory is terrible.

I know it's the OC.

Smith is a receiving TE. Kanak played 3 years in college at LB and will stick his nose in it.

I love Kanak. 0 drops. True 4.4 speed. Really smart. He should be our slot receiver. I really want to see his 3cone. In the slot at 6'2", Kanak would be a matchup nightmare - too fast for LBs, too tall for slot CBs. Really unique athletic profile.

McShay says that scouts are disappointed in Kenyon Sadiq. That his route running has not evolved and that there are questions about his effort in practice. Makes a Kyle Pitts comparison.

That's not a good thing.. Probably cost him Top 10..
