Not A Terrible Start On Acquisitions to the 90-man Roster

The one issue that I had with Henderson is that he rarely is looking to see if the running lane is there. He seems to be just plowing into it.

There were a few times that if he'd bounced either let or right a lane, it would have gone for big yardage.. Hopefully that will improve in time. However, i remember saying something similar about Michel and Maroney way back..
This Homer noticed the same. I hope it's a coaching issue that can be worked for crook into year 2 and not a visual talent issue.

Let's not forget two undrafted rookies that were thought highly of prior to their injuries early in 2025 training camp.

RB Lan Larison and FB Brock Lampe.

I would expect far more from either or both of these players than from D'Ernest Johnson, Elijah Mitchell, or even Terrell Jennings.

That’s a fair criticism. We saw that on at least one play in the SB.

I’m wondering whether that’s just an instinctive trait or can be learned with experience in the system.

Hendo…won’t lie, kind of disappointed.

Seems to be just fast and that’s it.

Give him a good OL to learn behind. Hars for me to crit someone who has to relearn his game for the NFL and did so in some ways throughout the season. I think he'll take a step uo

Thank you, I actually did forget.
If Lampe is better than Westover, we're good at RB.

a low bar indeed

We need an experienced short yardage back who can pick up the blitz.

Question? Chubb was realeased would you be interested??
Will Campbell ate his lunch twice last year.

Which puts people in a tough position. Either 'Will Campbell sucks and should be a guard T-rex arms", and you are advocating for a guy who Campbell handled, easily, twice, second time immediately after coming back from 'his knee is shredded season is over'.

Or he doesn't.

Meh on Bradley Chubb, he gets hurt way too much for my liking, seems like a guy who sits with a hangnail.

Thanks for the insights.. if anything would he be a depth/ veteran option at edge.. Great post.

In other positions.. the idea of likely.. could possibly be likely?

Cap... love to hear your expertise here... geno stone is available in FA would you sign him at Safety??

Depends on how Vrabel & company feel about Woodson: If they're happy with his effective range, then maybe they go after somebody with a little more pop like Stone... If they feel he's better-suited playing closer to the action, then maybe they look at somebody like SeaHag FS Coby Bryant...

I kind of blame McD. Get Hendo out in space and he can fly. Run him up the gut and he falls over. So why did we keep running him up the gut?
Because Josh McDaniels hates the run game like the Ryan Family hates offense.

I swear he sabotages it so he can show off how smart he is with 5 wr sets.

Deflategate game: gronk and develin were murdering either edge of the Colts between the 20s, then he'd sub out dev for Hooman and kill the drive with the passing game.

The 3rd and 1 around midfield in this superbowl after running Hendo up the gut instead of Rham...rham was consistently getting 3-5 yards. He was the only consistent thing on our offense the entire game.

I'm pretty sure Vrabel told Josh to run the ball this year, which is why he stuck with it. But why in God's name are we having Rham run delayed draws and then running Hendo between the tackles? IMO, the roles should be reversed. Not that I'm a fan of the delayed runs with our shaky OL play...

As great as McDaniels is with plenty of things, I loathe his ground game.

Good points.. the safety depth is pitiful beyond Woodson and Hawkins... I'm open to bringing stone in, resigning Hawkins, drafting a guy and let them all compete in TC... Bryant as well... we had 2 pretty good safeties when healthy in Dugger and peppers last season and Hawkins still beat them out... that gets lost in the sauce of all the Hawkins sucks get him outta here talk... bring in all the guys who posters think is better and let them all compete i say?

911 all purpose yards... 9 TDs.. really and truly for a rookie season hard for me to complain about as a fan... I get the postseason.. no one on offense really was all that in the playoffs..
Nope, 911 rushing yards, 9 rush TD, 221 more yards receiving

He didn't get a lot of play in the playoffs and SB, with Rhamondre back. 21 carries combined in the 3 playoff games and the Super Bowl. Not coincidentally, Rham had less wear on the tread, only 600-odd rush yards. Once he showed himself truly available, I can see that as making it easier to make him the no. 1 back for the duration.

The guy who said that, I dunno. Maybe doesn't watch much, doesn't check stats, and trades opinions anyway? I don't know, I don't get it. Hendo was the definition of the pick that does great right out of the gate. What the hell do you want out of a rookie in a split backfield? This kid is more RB than we often have in one single person in a year. (Rham's been exceptional as one around whom we can structure the run game, by which I mean, we have tended to split duties among two or more.)

We got 99 problems but the backs ain't one.

Spot on!! Right on the money... we got everything we were looking for this season out of hendo.. his production is going to unnoticed for my liking.. he made some huge big plays.. the TDs in Tampa, Buffalo for example.. he's just a big play guy.. I expect him to be even better next season.. his speed has to be respected and I also believe teams geared in on him in the postseason and your right rham was awesome as well..

I really wish we had the benefit of Gibson the entire season because it would had allowed for hendo to be fresher.. and I think he could have had even more production IMO..

Rookie. Used to running behind 5-stars, and spent this year running behind 3-stars at best.
He's the future, your tune will change in time I'm sure.

My criticism of Henderson is that he seems to go down on first contact too many times.

He gets there fast, but doesn't shred tackles like I would like.
