Don't look now, Florio trying to drum up an NFL investigation in the Pats use of the injury report leading up to the SB....

I almost bought this cake at Market Basket today. Saw a cake on the discount rack and looked to see if it was chocolate and it was so I put it in my cart. I was about to roll off when I looked down and saw this ****.

**** that. I put that right back where it was.

You should have "accidentally" dropped it and yelled, "Oops! Cleanup in aisle four!"

Rich Eisen said on his radio show that his seats were a vantage point for watching the OL and WRs.

He specifically pointed out the left side of the NE OL was getting blown up and Maye had no time. Regarding the NE WRs, they could not gain separation in time for Maye to get them the ball.
They were getting home rushing just 4.. therefore Seattle could just sit back on all the routes.. there was no room to roam... again a game where the check down, screens and end around would have helped.. it felt like watching the AVP offense all over again...

Ugh, what to do with Campbell? Was it a lingering injury issue and he wasn’t fully recovered? Did he slam headfirst into the rookie wall? Is he not the long term answer at LT?

This offseason will be interesting for shaping next year’s OL.
Good questions… Next year will be the year to see whether he can be a decent starting offensive lineman. Vrabel said today that he is going to be the left tackle and that he is going to improve… he certainly can’t get much worse. One of the worst performances by any offensive lineman in a Super Bowl… If not the worst statistically. But like someone said, the entire offensive line was garbage in the playoffs.. anyways onto next year and we will see how Campbell does, but number one priority in the draft and in free agency has to be rebuilding the offensive line to actually be one of the best in the league… We have had inconsistency in the offensive line for years now, but this was the worst I think

This was a very tough Super Bowl to watch and to see our guys get embarrassed like that… defense played their heart out and kept us in the game for quite a while. But the offensive line was probably the worst in Patriots history and that is where the focus has to be in the off-season. Vrabel is committed to Campbell so he says and that Campbell will be our starting LT….. time will tell on that. As many have said, he is probably better suited at guard and again time will tell how good he will actually be. But if he was truly injured as bad as he says, he was during the Super Bowl and playoffs, it’s on coaching to pull him and put in the back up…..Lowe couldn’t have been worse and DC/zach should have thought about putting a tight end right next to either one of them to give them help on that side. But the entire offensive line was bad. After offensive line, we need to address our wide receivers. Some of them were getting open during the Super Bowl and Maye either missed them or didn’t see them. I think he’s so used to getting pressured and sacked that he was panicking a bit out there, and of course his arm was shot up with Cortizone… So who knows how much he felt out there. And last we just need to get some more elite defensive rushers/edge…. And of course, a punter

Seattle was a very beatable team. If they get the 2023 Chiefs or even 2018 Patriots in this game, I don't think they come out on top. I give them credit for beating the Rams. But they got very lucky facing a bad offense tonight.

They may be a one off champion.
Yeah, I wasn’t extremely impressed with Seattle… their defense was very good just like ours was… That’s why the game was very tight through the first half into the third quarter… their offense was definitely better than ours and even though Walker did nothing all season… He was running well in the playoffs and we had several missed tackles that allowed them to move the ball better than us…..

Christian Gonzalez showed once again he's the guy, can't believe there's people out there who want to trade him.
My only concern with him is that he does get injured a fair amount… But he is phenomenal and one of the reasons that we made it so far in the playoffs… They have to resign him

The lack of arm length allows defenders to get their hands on him and push him back.
Yeah, it would seem like that’s a real concern …. Specially, once they get the outside on him, he just doesn’t seem to be able to reach enough to keep them off the quarterback.

I thought McDaniels stunk. And he seemed to get worse as the postseason went on. Zero adjustments.

Vrabel is a great defensive HC. But he needs to start keeping an eye on the offense more.

ST's wasn't as good as Seattle's.
Could not agree more… The entire playoffs, McDaniels lack of creativity and lack of adjustments destroyed our offense… I doubt that Vrabel would make a change and not sure anyone out there would be much better….but 3 runs up the middle into the stack and punt was rinsed and repeated a lot . McD has to be better and learn from this

Other player I'm mad at: Henderson. So many runs in the first half where he just hits the hole without any patience, unless he's being coached to do that. One jump cut on those runs up the middle could have gotten 4+ yards instead of 0.
Yeah, I am definitely very disappointed in this guy as well… He seems to just hit the hole that they scripted in the play and not kick it outside much… Hopefully he will improve. He definitely had several good games this year, but against the better defenses he just disappears.

Maye was bad but so was McDaniels. this game plan goes right next to SB 42

masterpiece
SB 49
SB 52

good
SB 51

meh
SB 53

****ing garbage
SB 42
SB 60
McDaniels really struggles in the big games for sure. Definitely not the best OC out there

He's a loser, always been a loser.
We love him because he's good...
Doesn't change a fkn thing. He was a degenerate before, and another push...
How many times do it need?
He certainly wasn’t good in the playoffs and the Super Bowl that’s for sure

Except for the big games he wins.

Definitely not the best OC out there

I think Vrabel is too loyal. He loves his players and coaches. Believes they will overcome adversity. Loyalty is great until it isn't. He doesn't need to be completely hated like Bill. But he can't be mr nice guy all of the time.

He is great. But scoring on elite front fours without Tom Brady in big games (even sometimes with Brady) is not something he has proven consistently.

Not saying he should be fired. But in December I thought he was the best OC in the game. Doesn't feel that way anymore.
