To me you guys and a few others seem to be looking for reasons to move on from Drake Maye, rather than reasons to be thankful we have him.

I think you are insane.

He is far from a finished product, and the same can be said for this team.

Even in that state he got us to a Super Bowl.

For ****s sake, try to have some patience and give some time for his growth and development before you write him off.

I know some people get a thrill from being the first to **** on their own player, but to me that too is insane.

Move on to who? QB's are in short supply and in high demand. The idea of them moving on from him is ludicrous.

Its people like you that make being a Pats fan really suck. A first year coach takes a 4 win team to the SB with a 2nd year QB and all you can do is post crap like this. It turns out that those of us that said it will take a few years to rebuild were wrong, and also right. We are thrilled and had a shot to win. We had the D to do it and didn't have the O. Our kid QB was not ready. Injury or youth? It doesn't matter. Its still a great day to be a Pats fan and its always better than being a Jets fan. The rebuild will continue. When you piss down you legs as an offense, from the line to the QB to the coaches...it's not something to be proud of. It was embarrassing for a fan and I hope the offense. That **** was seen by millions world wide. Only thing that was worth being proud of was Kuhr and his defense. Hang your hat on that. No wonder McVay was pissed they lost because the Pats would be easy to beat. Thats twice he has laughed at the Pats and proven correct. And don't start with the "well his team didn't even make the SB". I'd rather not make it than watch that DII level of offensive play.

No excuse for how poor they played offensively. None at all. 2 weeks to prepare and thats what they put out there. It went back to the Denver game as well before the weather turned. So you are entitled to feel all giddy. I am also entitled to see failure and call it just that. No guarantee they even sniff a SB again. In fact it's more likely they never get back than it is they do.

That last line is why the SB was such a colossal failure.

The Patriots are not nearly as talented as Seattle.

I wish they could have at least played well enough to make the game watchable and entertaining.

They had a good year. There is reason to be optimistic about the future. However, there are no guarantees. It's very possible they may never get this chance again. A wasted opportunity indeed.

They were in it and the game was winnable when it was 19-7 and they were driving down the field to cut it to 19-14 with time left for one more drive. In that sense, it was watchable for me. Once Seattle got the scoop and score it was over though

That would be the Seahawks who if you missed it..won the SB. They have a better chance to make it back to the SB than the Pats do.

Past success mean nothing in the present. You think the Seahags gave one **** about the 6 SBs the Pats won? Nope. You get to the big dance, you better perform. The offense didn't. I'm not gonna give them a pass just because they exceeded expectations. Had it been a hard fought, back and forth, offensive haymaker after another...then fine.

Because the chances of us seeing another SB appearance is more likely to never happen again? 60 SBs, Pats have been in 20 but thats only the last 20 years. 40 other years the Pats weren't in the SB.

Do I think they have a good chance to make it back in the next 3 years or so? Sure do but it's not a given.

I think part of the problem too is seeing and hearing Brady and Maye mentioned in the same sentence.

Nothing I said is stupid. If you were to say, the Pats are more likely than not to make the SB again..thats a stupid statement. The odds say it's stupid. I'll side with the odds thank you very much.

I'm not miserable, I'm not the one who **** the bed on offense last night and have to look in the mirror today. So I'm more than fine. I just don't like ineptitude and thats what we saw last night. From a guy with 9 SB appearances (McD) I expected a hell of a lot more.

Again, ahead, behind it doesn't matter. You made it to the SB. The way ahead of schedules vaporizes when you are there. The SB failure showed how far away they really are and thats the issue. They need to have another homerun FA period and draft to make up for it. Thats a tall, tall order. I'm extremely proud of the team for the entire season up until the SB. I am bullish on their future as well but not bullish on SB appearances because thats another thing entirely. I was young, very young but I remember the crap days of 1-15 and whatnot, up to the 4-13 seasons.

In the end nothing we say or do matters. It's what they do.
