All the options can be on the table, but I'm not really positive where this better LT is coming from that everyone seems so sure we'll get once we move Campbell to guard.
Your best FA option is a Rasheed Walker that just got arrested on a drug charge. Lmao

Not holding my breath hate to see O-Linemen on Skates especially the Fourth Selection Overall.
The thing about skates is that's a power thing. Heal up Campbell's leg, get him in a stength program and see where he's at. The whole thing about moving him to guard was because of wingspan. That has nothing to do with being overpowered.

Yep, these LTs don't grow on trees. Knowing you need to address the issue is one thing...actually going out and making it happen is another entirely. Huge money will most likely be the answer, IF we can find the right guy. Hoping we don't throw that kind of money on an average LT.

I think another big question going is whether or not Jared Wilson is a starter, does he belong over at center, etc.

I don’t think it helped pairing a struggling Campbell with a rookie guard that might be out of position. I would like to see that position upgraded this offseason. Should be a few capable guards out there in FA/draft. Maybe kick Wilson back into center.

Jared Wilson is gross too they were both exposed... that's why NONE of the Experts picked us.

I think guard is more likely than LT in free agency. But the question is how does the team feel about Bradbury? If they keep him, what do they do with Wilson, who is obviously the longterm center?

Mike, he could come from anywhere and do better than 14 pressures. You don't seem to appreciate how bad "14 pressures" is.

The kid from BC last year, Ozzy Trapilo, started for the Bears and was drafted in R2, no. 56. Trapilo would have been lights out better than 14 pressures.

I agree. The experience Campbell learned this season by playing the top defensive players is invaluable. I expect him to learn from his mistakes, improve his strength and become a better player. Like you also mentioned, solid LT's are hard to find.

If you would like to remove every rookie who had a bad game and assume they can never improve, the NFL would look an awful lot different.

I would say this game was a knock on vrabels coaching. You need to know when to pull the plug. Allowing Campbell and maye to get obliterated without any backup plan is not looking good.

This season will tell us if this was a masterstroke on building confidence for Maye and Campbell to become great this season and fixing their flaws.

We should just roll the dice with key players and some minor minor changes. Rome was not built in a day .
I have to agree. The way Campbell and Wilson were getting beat - it's malpractice not to at least try out Lowe and Brown. There's nothing to lose. The bad side of a player's coach came out; he's too loyal to the "starters"

The thing about Houston’s d is while they are great talent wise everywhere, they don’t really do anything to confuse you like seattle does. Maye was completely off his game yesterday and in denver.

Might be just me but while maye struggled throughout the postseason, i saw a difference between the chargers/texans games and denver/seattle games. In the first 2, he had issues with fumbling but he made bigtime throws and moved us up and down the field. In the last 2 games, even when the weather was fair in Denver, he was completely ineffective. Didn’t make his reads and flat out missed open guys. It was either a schematic thing with denver/seattle’s defenses or he got injured before denver. Or both.
I think a few things happened.

1) He got sped up generally and wasn't able to shake out of it. The offensive line certainly didn't play any better, so there was no ability for him to settle in ever. This is definitely the biggest factor

2) Coaching staff may have overreacted to the Houston and Chargers games and seemed to have reigned in the stallion too much, so to speak. Sometimes you have to live with the bad to get the good...it's a very fine line and I can't completely blame them given how well the defense was playing, but doing that against Seattle vs. doing it against a backup QB in Denver is very different.

3) Maye did have an injured shoulder. I can't say it was the cause of our loss yesterday but his deep throws definitely looked to lack some pop compared to all season. It wasn't why he played badly but it didn't help

“We’re onto the Draft!”

Agreed. We've been looking for a lineman for awhile and bet the farm on Campbell. I read a stat once that no team over the last 10 years invested more money and draft capitol in the offensive line than the Giants and they still never achieved more than a bottom third line. You have to go for what's available that can improve the team, not just reach and sell out for something that probably isn't the answer. We are picking 31 this year, there will not be a premier lineman in the draft at our position.

You can't be THAT guy and go a whole long postseason run without a single good game. Not one game even close to his regular season standard. Maye kind of put himself in a position where it won't really matter how good he looks in the regular season next year. We have already seen that. We need to see it in the playoffs now. Should be an interesting offseason.
Peyton didn't win a single playoff game (and frankly kinda sucked, while having big offensive support) until year 6. Drew Brees couldn't even hold onto his starting job until year 6. Those guys are both first ballot Hall of Famers. Give it some time.

We've seen Maye perform at an MVP-caliber level in the regular season. That's already incredibly rare. Now he has to do that consistently, and then maintain close to that level in the playoffs. That's the progression we need to see. He will need a lot more support on the offensive side of the ball.

The Bears 2024 OL was a dumpster fire.

Totally the opposite in 2025.

The reason I wanted King Tet early on then Tarpilo in the Second who played better than Campbell. Campbell played no better than V-Lowe in the end pathetic.

We need more talent and depth in multiple spots. We have to make smart upgrades anywhere we can and then play around the strengths of whatever results from that. Reaching for needs is how you misallocate resources.
