Truth is we were punching above our weight class this playoffs. Things only get tougher next year. This was a great year, one we should all take pride in. This team showed a ton of heart and was really easy to root for. Gotta get better though, o-line needs to upgraded, and Campbell may have to be moved inside. The future is bright…

Josh was conservative all ****ing game. Giving away possessions on third down.

You finally are moving the ball, score a TD and get close to midfield after being pinned inside the 5 and you call a hailmary with 8 mins left? And Drake throws it into triple coverage?

What was the purpose of that? You could of scored and taken your time and still got the ball back with a chance to win the game.

Just baffling play call by McDaniels and throw by Drake.
Maybe something happened and McDaniels had no choice but to be conservative. Maye’s play has fallen off a cliff in the post season

I think it's injury. He just does not have the stamina or strength to plant his food and is just getting pushed back. We need to roll in with Campbell for at least 2 more seasons.

2026 mostly is a losing season. Better to get younger this season and move away from

Henry
Diggs
Pop
Hooper
Bradberry
Moses too ( keep him as swing and allow younger rt to get game experience)

I will resign Boutte and keep in Mac hollins for continuity and veteran leadership.

I am hoping we draft an experimental prototypical LT from d2 school in later rounds.

I would want effin Chism to start playing the edelman role and maye to start working on short intermediate passes.

Chism is trash, can we please stop thinking he is going to do anything. I will take every receiver on the field tonight x1000 over Chism.

Too many sacks. Too many turnovers. Do you blame Maye or the line?
Hope the kid improves for next season. He DID NOT improve as the playoffs progressed which is concerning

Maye will be fine. Tom Brady got progressively worse in the 2007-08 playoffs and threw many mind-numbing INT's throughout his playoff career, and he turned out ok.

This Fing sucks, but we were not supposed to get to SB this quick. We gotta a bright future, on to 2027.
Jeez already writing off next season?!?!

I know, I know it was a typo. Or WAS IT?!

I think its technique. You saw it in the college tapes and he hasn't rectified it. He drops too deep for engaging the rusher and then is not anchored well enough to absorb the contact.
He is also affected if he doesn’t trust his LG and tries to do too much.

Both Dante Scarneccia and Joe Thomas didn’t feel it was an issue. I believe Joe Thomas’s arms were shorter than the ideal as well.

I hate this house money argument. There's no guarantees in this league. Every young team that loses early gets told "oh you overachieved and have a bright future". Rarely the case. Marino never went back after his sophmore year, when we beat the Panthers who came out of nowhere, it wasn't the start of something for them. Same for that Seattle team that the Steelers beat or the young Bears team the Colts beat. The Bengals looked like they were building something and then lost in the Super Bowl and now they just feel like a team that stops and starts a lot.

You have to take advantage of the opportunities given to you. Next year we have a harder schedule, no guarantee we stay as healthy, no guarantee we make big improvements. We have to start paying some guys like Gonzalez, Maye is going to start eating up cap space soon. At some point the Chiefs, Ravens, and Bills are all going to bounce back and be much harder outs in the playoffs than the Chargers/Texans/Broncos
Hate it all you want, they were never supposed to be here and made it this far. Count all the rookies starting and playing tonight. Amazing what they accomplished this year.

It's harder to judge Campbell. Campbell looked good during the season, then got injured, and has been bad since coming back. Hard to know how much of it is just him being young and rushing back from that injury.
The biggest thing with Campbell is we haven't really seen many LTs drop 4 stinkers in a row like that then go on to be a good LT.

It's going to be really hard for Campbell to win over fans cause all it takes is one bad play a game and people will be on his case while he's at LT where as for Drake you've seen it a bunch with QBs in the playoffs who get hit and fall apart and come back the next year and play great many of them go on to win championships.

Campbell can be perfect for 3-4 games and gives up a 2/3 sack game and everyone will be here goes Campbell again can't handle the elite pass rushers, once you get a bad rep as an OL it's hard to shake it.

Maybe something happened and McDaniels had no choice but to be conservative. Maye’s play has fallen off a cliff in the post season

Don't know but to not even call any QB designed runs when they couldn't move the ball and clearly Drake was nervous blows my mind.

Of course they were supposed to be here, they earned it.

Terrible way to end the season. Hurts too much to talk about. They were NEVER in the game. Have to give credit to the Seahawks, they imposed their will on the Pats, that’s why they lost. Game wasn’t even as close as the final score.

I always say, I much rather lose the AFCCG than the Super Bowl. This one hurts too much, first blowout SB loss since SB 31. At least that one we were in it, actually had the lead at one point. This one we were never in it. Defense sucked, couldn’t stop the run, offense sucked. Maye with 3 turnovers again. I always felt he reminded of a Bledsoe who can run, well, he was too much like Bledsoe in SB 31. I wish we lost in Denver.

I can't remember a time this season where I was like "Oh man, if only Campbell's arms were 3/4" longer."

Dude just seemed to get tackling dummied into Drake against any quality pass rusher. I don't know what he is but I'm almost convinced he's a G that is playing out of position.

****, the best thing I saw tonight was Gonzo.

Unreal play from him. Love that we have him. Please keep him, please sign an extension here.

I think my favorite thing this season was our secondary.

That's fine. But realize that most teams in the position we are in don't actually improve or come back. It's the exception not the rule
