Agree owners should not be part of HoF but since they are
He is just as deserving as Jerry Jones.
Clearly there is patriots hatred.
A win on Sunday will be great answer to BB and Kraft snubs.

Would love to see statement of support from Bill

as I said on the BB thread. Its horseshit. and shows that the voting panel is not fit for purpose. Hard to see any of that 5 getting in now if the two locks are just short.

Would be great to see that from Bill but doubt he will. really is hard to fathom how both missed it.

Oh well, HOF blue-balls for both Kraft and BB.

Fortunately, Bill has JorDON to help relieve his stress and assuage his frustration.

Hopefully, Bob has figured out how to hire a mature Asian masseuse without the whole world knowing about it.

It would be really "handy" if he did so.

You've gotta wonder what will happen when Brady comes up. If he's denied...burn it down.

I mean, probably should be anyway at this point...

Pats HOF has mattered more to me for well over a decade now.

some math.
50 voters with 3 votes each = 150.
- 39 for BB. thats 111.
Take anything from 35 to 39 for Kraft. That leaves 76 between 3 remaining candidates. Hard to see one of the 3 getting over 40 with only 76 available.

And you got Jerry jones who rode the coat tails of Jimmy Johnson and has done pretty much nothing for 30+ years
This is why it is so stupid for non-players. Jerry got in because he "grew the game," aka made the other 31 owners for money by driving sponsorship and licensing deals. It wasn't that long ago that some teams were wearing Nike jerseys while some were wearing Adidas, and the stadiums were named after owners or something specific to the city. Jerry Jones is a big reason why literally everything you see on Sundays is sponsored. Why Nike is the official apparel sponsor, while Oakley is the official visor/eye wear sponsor, Microsoft is the sponsor for their sideline tablets, etc.

Jones got in the Hall of Fame because he made people worth $1 billion worth $5 billion. He has made no impact on the game of football on the field. If I had my way, anyone who never put a helmet on would never be in the Hall of Fame. Let coaches, owners, writers, and whomever else have their own thing, but guys who called plays and wrote checks shouldn't have their busts in the same building as guys who got the crap kicked out of them every week for a decade.

The rule apparently is that if nobody reached 40, the person with the highest vote count will be the only one who makes it. If Belichick got 39 and didn’t make it, it implies someone hit 40.

I would love to see the Pats win on Sunday and have Kraft raise the Lombardi trophy and say something like, " The Hall of Fame is nice but hoisting this is a lot nicer." Not going to happen but I can dream.....
At some point you have to realize that the "cool kids" are not going to let you in their inner circle of the club no matter what you do so you have to say "F it" and doing what you want no matter how many eggs get cracked.

oh, if Bob has enough liquid courage running, you never know

Doesn't bother me all that much, but the fact that voters don't even try to hide their anti-Patriots bias is crazy. Most of the country would LOVE to see the Patriots lose on Sunday, especially by being porked by the refs.
There are bones of Pats' victims sprawled across the country. Has been for many years.

It started with the Tuckheads in Oakland (and the media) who cried for a full decade to have a legit rule changed.
Then there were the Rams fans and they were the worst. One of their players still cries about their loss.
Carolina fans have been so bad lately they have bigger issues than us.
Philly fans aren't as bad, I think because they got us later.
Then we had the Jets fans (and once again the media) crying about the Pats cheating. I like to call it Crygate.
Throw in Miami too, and all the others who want us to forget that Miami really cheated to get their precious 17-0 season.
Then came the Giants and the bad days. They probably don't hate us much.
We also had the NYFL coming after our team, even punishing the GOAT for doing nothing wrong.
Payback's a ***** and we probably pissed off generations of Seattle fans back then.
And Atlanta. OMG those poor Falcons fans.
Then the Rams again only with different fans from thousands of miles away.
After the more recent events, Denver fans don't like us like they used to either.

All in all, that's a lot of people with a grudge against the Pats.

I don't have a problem with that.

Ravens and Colts started deflategate

This second sentence of this article on Jerry Jones being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame sums up the reason Jones is in:

"bought the Cowboys in 1989 for approximately $140 million. Today, the franchise is worth more than $4 billion"

In other words, what he accomplished was making himself (and all the other already wealthy owners) richer, beyond their wildest dreams.

This column summarizes why so many owners don't deserve to be in Canton.

But here's the thing: if Jones is in because of three Lombardis, why is Kraft not in with double that amount?

And if Jones helped by making NFL franchises more valuable, what about Kraft's work on network television contracts as Chairman of the NFL Media Committee?
Or his work on avoiding a strike when other owners like Jerry Richardson didn't want to budge an inch?
Or Kraft's work as Chairman of the NFL's Compensation Committee, or as a member of the Management Council Executive Committee?

And then there are other owners like Wellington Mara and Dan Rooney, apparently in for their DNA; Charles Bidwell, owner of the Cardinals, historically the NFL's worst franchise, that has relocated twice; or Ralph Wilson, because ... his team lost four straight super bowls?

I'm not a fan of putting owners into the Hall, but the NFL/voters have already opened the door. You can't justify guys like Bidwell or Wilson being in, but not Kraft.

Full-blown hypocrites.

Owners and coaches should have a seprate thing imo. However, they don't. So, not putting Kraft in for over a decade is a travesty. He isn't getting any younger and he is more deserving than any other owner in the Hall. This is anti Patriots bias to the hilt.

I now feel that TB12 will not get in on his first ballot. I mean how could he at this point?

I could see me picking only players if I had a vote, with Kraft or Belichick.
One of the voters who didn't vote for Belichick and went on the record said exactly that. Veteran players, coaches, and owners were all in the same category, with a limited number of slots. He said that he felt there was a large backlog of deserving players and that this needed to be corrected before he would favor any non-players getting in. Though an interview with Salguero made it clear that for Belichick it was all about spygate for the vast majority of voters who didn't vote for him.

And the HoF likely breathes a sign of relief. They would have looked even worse than they already look if Kraft had made it in but not BB.

And I'm also glad that Kraft's pickme, try-hard machinations again failed him yet again. If he ever gets in I hope it's only posthumously.

But Eli Manning’s going to get in, right? Lol.

Hall of Fames are stupid. It’s not what sports is all about, voting on whether something is good, people’s opinions. Go to social media if you want that kind of validation.
