Josh Allen says the Bills should be in the Super Bowl

I like that Pegula put Allen in the middle of the coaching search and is enabling him to run the team. They didn’t bring in a coach from the outside so there’ll be even more pressure on Allen to win every week, and to win the whole thing. It’s an implosion waiting to happen imo.
Kinda what happened to Rodgers in the Jete

I know controversy helps keep the forum interesting ... but c'mon sometimes the other guys are good guys. Josh is a good guy.

Now has gotten Dan Morgan to leave, Dorsey fired, Daboll fired (he was never coming back to Buffalo), Diggs traded, McDermott fired, and is now sitting in on the head coach interviews, such as they were.

Maybe, but he's also a hardo who wouldn't want to turn his back on Buffalo - so he'll spend his career there continuously failing to even make it out of the AFC... jmo
We'll see. Free Agent after the 2029 season, Joe Brady, his buddy, we'll see how long he lasts - if they start going 8-9, 7-10, he'll demand a trade, and there will be a long line of apologists ready to glaze him for his brave decision.

In many respects, his career could parallel that of Philip Rivers, in the sense that they both put up great numbers and made the playoffs annually but never made the Super Bowl. Rivers was blocked by Brady, Manning and Roethlesberger and Allen has Mahomes and Bo Nix (??)) as his white whale.
Of the top 17 guys in career passing yards, only 2 never made it to the Super Bowl, Rivers and Carson Palmer. With 30K yards, Allen is on his way to joining the club.
* I'm not comparing toughness, Rivers get pluses in my book for playing in the AFCCG with a torn ACL

With that incredible $330 million contract through the 2030 season, I don't see Allen going anywhere. He'll be 34 when it ends so perhaps then if he has anything left in the tank and wants out. But Prairie Cows fans (and Pegula) have made him a deity, so I doubt it.

After Buffalo lost to Denver, I was listening to the LA sports talk and Eric ****erson said Allen has to stop running around as the hits are adding up. Also mentioned his supporting cast is crap.

He's stuck in Buffalo for a while as he should've never signed that contract in 2025. How did he not see the team getting worse each season he's been there? And Buffalo will refuse to give him up going to a new stadium and how it took them 20 years to find a good to elite QB. If he kicks and screams enough after 2027, he may get his wish of being traded. But I wouldn't count on it. Like you said, it's most likely 2029. One team to look at for when Stafford retires is the Rams.
I really think it's more probable than not (lol) he plays somewhere else in 2029. Gotta keep an eye on him to see these if these injuries start to pile up.
I'm sure Josh's wife will push for a trade there.
Shes SoCal through and through and Josh's family is near Fresno.

I am guessing he will start looking to be traded around 2028. It will be prudent for Buffalo to do so as well, as they will be able to maximize his trade value and they will also be able to get out of paying some of his huge salaries and option bonuses loaded into the later part of the deal. He will be 32 at that point so still will have a few prime years left. Some team will send 3 first rounders or more for him and also give him a fresh new "top of the league" extension. Buffalo will fire Beane & Brady and will start fresh with some new rookie and a cheap vet that year.

Yep- Gotta keep those people happy in the new stadium.

He's stuck for 2026 and 2027, but the hit is manageable if he demanded a trade in 2028. However, 2029 is when the Bills have an out.

This actually isn't true. Rivers made the playoffs a whopping 2 times within a 10 year period. In total, he only made the playoffs 6 times in his 14 year career in SD. That is pathetic. His teams during that span were far more capable than the crap Allen has dealt with in Buffalo. They consistently had slow starts to the season, only to to go on a "run" when the odds of them making the playoffs were slim to none. Rivers was a stat padder and the most overrated QB in the last 25 years.

Hey, Josh Allen if you want to go to the Super Bowl...

(Just in case it's not obvious this company doesn't exist.)

"If I make one more play in Denver, we are probably not having this press conference now, we are probably not making a (coaching) change and in all honesty, we are probably getting ready to play another game."

Well, what the hell is he supposed to say? That's not disrespect at all, it's believing in yourself and your team. But the headline is designed to get thin skinned Pats fans to click it.

We need to be a little thicker skinned. 12th Super Bowl. Four more than the next team. We need to assume our status as fans of The Team The Runs The NFL.
Is that our new rally cry?

The Team.
The Runs (god damn it I knew I shouldn’t have eaten that ice cream).
The NFL.

Since Kraft's owned it, they sure as hell have.

I've tried my best to like Josh. I even attended the University of Wyoming for grad school a couple years before Josh arrived, so I like to cheer for the alums that make it to the NFL (Frank Crum on the Broncos for example).

I can't get over Josh's egregious acting/flopping. Wish I could though.
Massive FLOPPER... it's embarrassing how bad it is.

I get so sick of the "if we had just made that one play" argument.

You didn't. Most cases, the opponent may the play and they stopped you. And every halfway close game can be dissected and you can come up with a what-if / woulda / coulda / shoulda.

I mean, take the 28-3 comeback. I have watched that countless times and on one rewatch I kept a running log of the times "if this play doesn't work, we will lose" and there were, if I recall correctly, 13 such plays. You know how clutch a team has to be, in order to be 13-13 on do-or-die chances?

Who the **** wants a player on their team who thinks "Oh yeah if we could have won our game in the divisional round I totally think we would have lost to one of our division rivals."

I like a good round of Rodney-esque chips on shoulders, but get a ****ing grip.

Can’t wait for this loser to retire ringless.

Have you guys heard what Sean Payton said in Denver? While the Bills imploded, now the Broncos could be next with Payton telling the media he wouldn't have drafted Bo Nix had he been aware of his prior ankle injuries. Apparently, Nix had surgery in high school and college. The recent injury wasn't a fluke, but inevitable according to the Doctors. If I heard correctly, Nix fired back saying it along of the lines of it not being the team's business.

I'm all for ****ting on the Billdos but it's kinda annoying we have about 5 active threads about them. It's the kind of stuff we used to make fun of in other fanbases' forums.
