2026 Draft: EDGE

I didn't believe that, though it says it was verified. I would have guessed 270.
You can see that he's quite slim now. I'd have said 260. I never thought the listed 280 thing was right. Apparently he's big into yoga so that's maybe how he got down so low.

I think that Bailey will be a MUCH better pass rusher in the NFL in the right defense, but I think because he is undersized that he could be a liability against the run. He is also not that strong at the point of attack, so I think he is a defensive scheme specific as are several others. He is kind of a Harold Landry type of guy to me.

Bain is less explosive and is not gap disciplined so he can run himself out of plays, but is big and strong enough to not get pushed around by OTs and he sheds blocks pretty well. He has a good bend around the edge and good bull rush. Bain will be a better overall player IMO.

Reese will be a defensive weapon that can be used on ball or off ball. I think he has the highest upside and will be a "LT" type player with the right defensive schemer.

I think that Bain goes before the other 2 because he fits the traditional mold of DE/Edge rusher. I feel like everyone is looking for the big dominant edge that can rush and play the run.

All of that said I would love to see Bailey on this team because I feel that he would offer the most explosiveness to the pass rush and this team as currently constructed is already really good vs the run. Reese is very explosive but is raw as a pass rusher and I feel like Bailey has a very good set of moves already.

I'm not going to bother doing a poll but I'm curious to know what you think.

Who goes higher?

A) Rueben Bain
B) David Bailey
C) Arvell Reese

I think it's between Bain and Bailey but I'm going with Bailey because he'll kill it at the combine.
Bailey. He may not even have to perform.

Not me. I said at the time that Clowney not the best defensive prospect in his class. Way over-rated.

I'm only saying this because of his appearance on the right side of the screen in the risers and fallers section reminds me, but Gonzo is pretty close to a perfect prospect. What more do you want from a CB prospect than excellent length, outstanding athleticism, only 4 missed tackles, 4 INTs?

Perhaps I'm being a bit facetious, but if I was imagining an ideal CB prospect, a 6'1" CB with 32" arms that runs 4.38 and jumps 41", comes from a big program and grades out really well would be what I'd come up with.

The knock on Gonzo coming out was his physicality. I also think he was such a natural that he got penalized for it.

Gonzo at 17 was highway robbery.

As far as I am concerned we have 3 options in the draft: Trade for Crosby, Trade up to draft Bailey or hope Mesidor falls to 31-32

We're not trading up for Bailey unless you want to sell the farm. He might go top 5 and will certainly go top 10.

Using Sith mind techniques, we trade 32 to the Jets for 2 and 16. Take Arvell Reese at 2. Then use same technique to trade 16 to Cleveland for 6 and 24. We take David Bailey at 6 and Akheem Mesidor at 24.

Mason Reiger who was the best edge rusher at the Shrine Bowl, has had six surgeries on the same knee. Jusy something to bear in mind before including him in your mocks.
