OT: NFL faces calls to change playoff format after snowstorm during Patriots-Broncos

Hate the idea. I get why they do it for the Super Bowl because it's such a massive event that you really need a designated site to prepare. You can't just spring that on a team that wins the championship game. It's not just a football thing, the whole municipality has to prepare. Public transportation, policing, etc.

Championship weekend does not impose the same burden on the cities that this is needed. It would have a greatly reduced atmosphere because you aren't going to get the same kind of neutral fan interest in the games like you do the Super Bowl. Just awful all around. And none of that even gets to mentioning how it's such bull **** for competition.

Sure makes sense for the Super Bowl… want a different venue every year…… this other stuff is just sore asked jealous people nonsense

I HATE the people who say, "that's not football." That's crazy to me. The whole point of football is that it can be played in any weather, at any time, and the players have to overcome.

What they're really saying is, "that's not arena football." Because that's what they want to turn the game into.

Nonstarter because what’s the point of seeding if you play the championship at a neutral site? Silliness. Now I’ll admit, second half of that game was borderline unwatchable but OH WELL.

That’s football and both teams have to play it… May the best (or sometimes luckiest in these kinds of games) team win!

The way NBC quickly put together their team for Sunday Night Football... Florio, Dungy, Rodney, Peter King... really felt haphazard. That most of those are still part of the program is even more surprising.
