If this is true and Bill Polian did vote for him then it's in his best interests to make sure the votes are leaked so we can see who these people are and what agendas they have, if it's not Polian that's almost worse so we just have 10+ people who don't think Belichick is a HOFer?

I would almost feel better if it was Polian waiting him wait a year, that's more understandable it's a grudge rather than we really have 20%+ of HOF voters who don't think Bill Belichick is a hall of famer.

if kraft gets in which i think he will, then his dynasty doc worked as he wanted i guess
These guys hated Belichick for decades. These petty assholes settled their score. They didn’t vote against Belichick’s because of the Dynasty Doc, they voted against him because he kicked their teams ass for 20 years and didn’t play nice with the media.

This take is not only stupid, but it is also ******ed and also moronic. Also, it's stupid.
Got to love the emotional gossip folks who wear it on their sleeve and let it drive their decision making on anything and everything.

I got chatGPT to do some digging for Bill critics on the HOF committee and this is what it came up with. Good chance that most of these were a no.

————————

I’m not counting routine game criticism (“bad draft,” “poor game plan”) unless it crossed into patterned or reputational critique.

Below are Selection Committee members from the Hall page you linked who have clear, on-the-record, notable criticism of Belichick, with what they criticized and why it matters.

Notable, documented critics (name by name)

Ron Borges
— New England selector
Type: Long-term adversarial critic

Why notable:
Decades of hostile coverage of Belichick in Boston media
Publicly questioned Belichick’s integrity during Deflategate, asserting Belichick did not believe Brady
Frequently framed Belichick as manipulative, evasive, and overrated without Brady

Why this matters: Borges is the most openly antagonistic Belichick voice on the committee and represents the Patriots market itself

Bill Polian
— At-Large
Type: Legacy / ethics critic

Why notable:
Publicly framed Spygate as a serious competitive breach
Has argued Belichick’s legacy should be contextualized by rule violations
Reportedly suggested Belichick should not be first-ballot because of controversy residue

Why this matters: Polian is influential, respected, and ideological about “doing it the right way.”

Armando Salguero
— Miami selector
Type: Cultural / reputational critic

Why notable:
Repeatedly framed Belichick’s Patriots as a culture that “pushed boundaries”
Critical columns tying late-career decline to arrogance and rigid control
Longstanding AFC East rivalry framing Belichick negatively

Why this matters: Salguero’s criticism isn’t tactical — it’s about who Belichick is.

Gary Myers
— Giants selector
Type: Post-Brady legacy critic

Why notable:
Central thesis in multiple appearances/books: Brady elevated Belichick more than vice versa
Argues Belichick failed to adapt without Brady
Regularly frames Belichick as exposed in final Patriots years

Why this matters: Myers consistently attacks Belichick’s core legacy claim.

Paul Domowitch
— Philadelphia selector
Type: Drafting / roster-building critic

Why notable:
Mocked Belichick’s drafting record publicly
Suggested Belichick’s personnel decisions contradict his “genius” reputation

Why this matters: While not personal, Domowitch has gone beyond normal critique into ridicule.

Jason Cole
— At-Large
Type: Structural / power critic

Why notable:
Frequent national commentary criticizing Belichick’s control over personnel
Portrayed Belichick as inflexible and responsible for late-era Patriots collapse
Strong anti-“coach as GM” stance tied directly to Belichick

Why this matters: Cole’s criticism is persistent and philosophical, not situational.

Clark Judge
— At-Large
Type: Ethics & rule-bending critic

Why notable:
Publicly framed Spygate as “systemic,” not accidental
Argued Belichick benefited from a culture of edge-pushing
Why this matters: Judge directly challenges the “clean dynasty” narrative.

NOT included (important distinction)
These selectors have criticized Belichick occasionally, but not in a notable or recurring way that rises to reputational bias:

These fall under routine football analysis, not agenda-level criticism.

Clear, notable critics on the Selection Committee:

  1. Ron Borges
  2. Bill Polian
  3. Armando Salguero
  4. Gary Myers
  5. Paul Domowitch
  6. Jason Cole
  7. Clark Judge

If Sando was a voter and was in the room how can he say he doesn't know the voting? Not I can't talk about it but wishy washy trying to explain/justify.. Probably voted against him.

Can we move this to the all things Belichick thread please?

jk, this is a complete joke. how is dungy in but not Belichick? like cmon even if you think he’s a cheating Brady merchant he still has six rings

Yeah, all 50 are going to say they voted for him now..
I said this somewhere else, but I wouldn't be surprised if some people just wanted to be petty and snubbed him and then got stunned when they found out he didn't get in and now they are running for cover

After he had the votes. What scum. And then denies what he did
Is this like Animal House: Come on... Flounder, you can't spend your whole life worrying about your mistakes. You ****ed up. You trusted us.

You didn't know what I was talking about so you assumed I was 'validating' something I didn't even mention???
Something I've repeatedly called BS over my years here? BB figuratively *****-slapped a lot of the clowns absurdly entrusted with a vote, that is why he isn't going in on the 1st ballot and everything else is just an excuse. The truth is if the NFL wanted a HoF they could be proud of instead of one that gets snickered at they could start over and have Bill solely select its members. I guarantee they'd all be worthy
Everyone is talking about Spygate.

Who could know what you meant? You wrote Belichick isn't in because of Belichick.

When Kraft asked Belichick how much filming signals helped, Belichick said it helps sometimes, they may grab one signal per game. Kraft replied, "Then you're a schmuck!" If I understood what Kraft was saying, he would hope that "cheating" would've had a much bigger impact than that. Which is weird.

If Kraft put Polian up to this, then Kraft is the biggest schmuck of all because the forever refrain about the Patriots franchise is now, "Then why didn't Belichick get into the HOF if the Patriots didn't cheat their way to Super Bowls?" I know it's always been out there, but now it is OFFICIAL.

I don't know if Kraft did this, I suspect he did, and if he doesn't denounce the vote, I know he did.

Not everyone, I certainly wasn't
So maybe ask rather than randomly decide? I thought it was Andy's job to decide what other people meant.
No one but Belichick decided to be a richard to the media, the same media that is churlishly getting even in the only small minded way that can. It has nothing to do with any BS cheating crap that's just a cover for them being childish.

Dungy's OC Howard Mudd was the king of filming signals.
