Some franchises will always be a mess even if they somehow manage to get an elite QB
The thing that kills me is they were so patient with him because he was so raw in the beginning but he grew into a fantastic QB only for them to be unable to even make it to the Super Bowl.

Thats a weird one. Cant wait to see what the spin is.

Some guys are just Coordinators: we'll see if Joe Brady is more than meets the eye. Have Josh McDaniels the HC thought some of these Guys anything?? Buffalo just panicked because a Young Patriots Team made it further than them. I said it before and will say it again: this was not the year or time to fire your HC.

I am going to guess that this was not "Plan A", or even Plan B, C, D, or E, but once Pegula kept & promoted Beane and then held that unbelievably embarrassing press conference, no serious candidate had any interest in coaching there anymore. So they were left with little to no options, and Brady was probably one of the few barely-qualified ones left who was willing to put up with Pegula and Beane, because he already works there.

Problem is - how do you spin this to the fans, when you said you needed "a change in direction", and you just blamed the bad picks on "McDermott's staff", and then kept a guy from the same staff? Basically saying you fired a guy for no reason, you just felt like making the team worse. In reality I am sure Pegula expected to have better options, but this is what it looks like to the average fan.

Five year deal?? Joe Brady is the second coming or something??

It's weird. They were mad that the Bills weren't doing enough to win playoff games with the offensive players that they had. So promoted their OC. How is this a change?

Clearly they concluded the problem wasn't the offensive coaching, it was the talent assembled. So they elevated the OC but overhauled their personnel operation, right? RIGHT??

Seriously, how does this whole series of moves make any sense at all? Thoughts and prayers to the loyal Bills fanbase.

I mean the easiest way to make sure you're not making those kinds of mistakes in the playoffs is to simply....not make the playoffs.

The problems on offense weren't the personnel, it was the coaching. We promoted the GM.

Also, we promoted the coaching, because it was so good.

So we basically just fired stinky Sean because we didn't like his beard.

The only thing to take from this was Sean was harshing on Beane so Beane got him fired and is making sure Joe Brady understands who is in charge.

But Pegula said Beane "definitely wasn't making a power play!" Didn't you hear him? He said if he sensed anyone was making a power play, "they're out!"

The Bills finally have their own Brady. They can buy 7 Lombardi trophies from Walmart in two weeks, and we will be virtually identical in legacies.

Congrats.

They don't have their own Brady. They don't even have their own Marino yet.

Let's chill.
