It's a fair argument, until the playoffs rolls around. The pretenders most likely lose their first playoff game once they get hit in the mouth. The Pats took many punches, but punched harder. They are for real.
It's the same ******** as during Dynasty I and II, we played in the weak AFC East. Again, might be true but when you have success in the playoffs vs teams in other divisions that argument loses steam.

I agree and just find it super frustrating when Pats fans get in a tizzy because someone calls out the easy schedule. I know media and other fans do it to try and take away from what the Pats have accomplished, but it doesn't take it away. It just makes the fan look like a toddler getting pissed because someone took a toy. Its just funnstrating

Love the cope articles coming out from the idiot Denver media. Apparently, the Broncos would have won by at least two touchdowns had Nix played.
Every time Denver comes up in relation to the Patriots, I forget what yay-hoos their fans are.
I don't even get annoyed by it.

Oh by the way @denverpatsfan got any more predictions for us?

Evidently, none of them are intelligent enough to realise the Patriots would have amended the gameplan to deal with Nix.

The Pats did what was required; perfectly.

While the AFCE argument was valid as it was a garbage division for the majority of the dynasty, most divisions had one team that dominated the rest. Media would get blinded by the AFCN because they'd beat each other up creating the illusion the division was so completive only to lose to the Patriots. I don't even know why media even brings this up.

I have no idea why anyone gets mad at what the media says or at what a poster says on here.

Please post them. I don't recall anyone in the media acknowledging the Pats injuries against the Colts and the team having the flu in the 2006 AFCCG. Nobody cared that Brady's severe ankle sprain and injuries to Colvin, Neal and Morris which gave the Giants a much needed edge in 2007. How about Gronk's injury against the Giants in 2011 playing on one leg? What about Gronk missing the game against the Ravens in 2012 and Talib injured in game? Nobody cared how many injuries the Pats had going back to Denver in 2015. How about 2017?

I have zero sympathy for any teams with injuries.

They should at least test those waters. If you can get away with dedicating only one resource to take away their top weapon BY FAR (JSN has been held to under 70 yards only twice this entire season/post-season), your defensive flexibility opens way up.
Both games ended with the Seahawks winning BIG. A 26-0 romp over the Vikings and a 41-6 romp over the 49ers.

Yeah ****ing Denver. Literally ****ed with the cap to keep their team together with no penalty and got 2 Sbs out of it. Then bought 1 more.

Loser franchise.

Facts. He accounts anywhere from 30%-70% of total game yardage in any given week.

Total yardage of the Seahawks to this point - 5973
Total yardage of JSN to this point - 1829 (1793 receiving, 36 rushing)

That is ~32% of their total offense through one player. Sometimes Darnold will have 150 yards passing, 124 of which were to JSN, first game they lost to SF.

I do think regardless of what coverage we sick on JSN, he will still eat a little. It's gonna be a Julio Jones kinda plan, where he's gonna find the unfindable. Our secondary might be the best in the league at forgetting about a bad snap and manning up immediately thereafter.

The more I think about this matchup, the more I feel like our defense is a great matchup. It's gonna be a fun watch. If both teams bring their A-game, it'll be a FIGHT.

Agree completely. And the Seahawks want to bully opponents, and the Patriots don't allow anyone to bully them. It's going to be a nasty fistfight, and I think that favors the Patriots. Vrabel and Co. are going to have a game plan for Darnold, and taking away JSN is going to be central to it.

If I'm the Pats, I'm looking at the Seahawks loss to the Buccaneers and the Loss to the Rams in November. Those two games should hold valuable information on defeating the Seahawks.

JSN is the most dynamic receiver in the league. He can burn you on ALL the routes. Short, Intermediate and Long. The key is to limit him.
I mentioned in another post that the 2 times he's been held to under 30 yards, the Seahawks cruised to wins anyways.

The fact that the Seahawks don't have Charbonnet is a huge deal. He was their "GOTO" short-yardage guy/ goal-line guy. It's more telling that the Seahawks didn't promote a 3rd RB for the Rams game. Especially with Cam Akers on their PS.

He is Darold's number 1 read. Period. All the time. Take him away and get to Darnold which I think the line can, and it might get ugly.

2 teams this year took JSN away and limited him to under 30 yards. The Vikings and the 49ers. Both teams lost to the Seahawks. The Vikings lost 26-0 and the 49ers lost 41-6.

JSN may be Darnold's #1 read, but the Seahawks can clearly win without him.

I think that shutting down the run, blanketing Kupp and Shaheed while forcing Darnold to go short to JSN with either Gonzalez or Marcus Jones covering him might be the better way to go. Then, when JSN makes a catch, you gang tackle him, forcing him to take more and more hits..

#1, #2 and #3 read.

Definitely. Which is why we gotta be okay with him getting yards, it clearly isn't worth selling out for. Gonzo 1-on-1 may not be a total shutdown, we just need it to be enough.

The Patriots have been the absolute best at not getting rattled this year. Damn near every game has a moment where other coaches would start playing stupid because they get shook from """""momentum swings""""" or falling behind. The Pats somehow are really just stoic as hell.

Meanwhile, my patience will be next to nil over these next two weeks waiting for the game lol.

I do. Pats have no chance in the Super Bowl. Take the Seahags to cover easily.
And the over!

He pulled that on his own. Play called was a handoff.
He clearly saw something during the game that made him think it would work. The not telling everyone sold it to the Defense and caught them flat-footed. My only wish was that he'd gone down in bounds as soon as he got passed the marker so the clock would have kept running.
