If the Pats Win Today . . .

I’m a nervous wreck right now.
These games never go as you anticipate.

Very few post season games have this season.

I haven't been this excited since the early days. After they became so dominant, I would say excitement went away and nervousness set in, especially after they lost in 2007 and people started talking about Brady vs Montana, his legacy, etc. And I think the reason I started getting nervous was that each loss was something they'd use against Brady when talking about how history would view him against other QBs. And even moreso when Mahomes came into the picture.

Today, obviously, none of that is in play, and it feels just like it did back at the beginning. If they go down, you just hope it's after putting up a fight and being in a tough environment in Denver. But I will say one concern I have is how they'll be down the stretch in the fourth quarter given the altitude, the crowd, etc. And I feel like getting a lead today is going to be key, so they can play the game on their terms and not have to battle to hang on down the stretch. It's a brutal place to play, and fingers crossed they're up for it.

I see it the other way. I think this is the easy game. Seattle will be tough, but there is the Darnold factor (probably why you aren’t concerned I bet). The Rams don’t worry me too much but they are better than a Stidham led overrated defense Broncos.
On the other hand next one us a neutral site.
In a vacuum, the Seahawks and Rams would be tougher matchups. They are both better than Denver. But in that game, the Patriots need not worry about negative history, altitude stuff, or an intimidating crowd.

History is irrelevant.

History is irrelevant.
They are reminded about it every day. I understand none of these players were part of past matchups. But it's there until it isn't.

I don't think that will decide the game obviously.

I'll be amazed, almost struggle with the feeling that we don't deserve to be in the SB yet - but I'll take it!
And, I'll be assuming a '96 like SB matchup with either SEA or LAR - cause I don't think we have enough for that.

It means nothing to them it’s like telling you the people who lived in your house before you had health problems. The house isn’t the cause, just as the logo isn’t

We are very possibly the best football team in the NFL. We absolutely deserve everything accomplished and to be accomplished.
You not understanding how good this team is doesn’t make it unworthy, it makes you wrong.

I agree

I guess both teams got a break. Stidham in for Nix. Denver losing to the Jags in 96. But no 96 type Packers team would be the opponent in the SB. That was at a time when the NFC dominated SB's.

I think this Patriots team has a better, albeit not by much, QB. They don't have a HC with one foot out the door as a distraction either.

Line now is +3 vs Rams, +3.5 vs Seahawks.
Line for Denver matchups is 5 points higher
The line now is -4.5 Seahawks.

It should easily move to - 6 Seattle with money pouring in on the Seahawks after yesterday.
