LOL, ProFootball Talk doing some research and finding some revisionist history is going on; either that or total false advertising at the time.
A YouTube video released by the Bills after the 2024 draft shows how much Beane liked Coleman, with Beane saying repeatedly that he wanted Coleman on the Bills.

Some good stuff in there, such as: “I’m glad he ran that,” Beane said of Coleman’s slow 40. “It’ll help to get him.”

The Bills have Josh Allen and that is it.

The rest of the team and management is a disaster.

The funny thing is, the owner, with his GM pulling his strings, has reversed what was a growing amount of fan support for Allen and the Bills.

No one thinks the problem was the HC. Heck - they don't even really think it's Josh Allen's fault. Many NFL fans are rooting for he and the Bills who have a savvy fan base and have been heartbroken over the years with missed opportunities.

Heck, Allen and the O can put up 30 points a game against one of the best Ds in the NFL. Over the last several years no team has been better in points scored and points allowed. Fire the DC for allowing so many points in a playoff game but with the owner destroying his own team's credibility, he's hurting their chances of getting a good coach.

Ironically its probably one of the best opportunities out there - but who knows, maybe the owner panics and decides he wants a big name like Belichick to help him restore his credibility, as there has been a bit of chatter of that nature. Good luck with that!
the reality is that now the owner has made this job UNDESIRABLE. What coach is going to want to go into Buffalo, knowing that 12-5 and a playoff win will get you fired. Your loveable backwater team, and your Superman QB won't be enough unless you win the superbowl. Once you get to the final 8, the superbowl winner is a crapshoot, and the last 3 games of the season are littered with bad breaks, good calls and strange bounces determining victory and defeat. And the winning team has to navigate ALL of it. The best team doesn't always win the Superbowl each year. In fact, more often than not, the best team of the year, DOESN'T make it through that gauntlet of one and done playoffs. Sometimes, like the 2024 Eagles it happens, but not always.

Nah, the Bills aren't going to get one of the top 2 available HC candidates left. They are going to have to hope they get lucky and hit on one of the guys who would be willing to take a job where they have to report to a GM and accept HIS players. And try and please an owner and fanbase where it's superbowl or failure. Why take that job other than its one of 32 and you just HAVE to have one. The Bills will have to hope they hit on another Liam Coen. Yet even if they do, doing what Liam Coen accomplished in Duval will get your fired in Buffalo.

Oh look, another AFC East opponent is in the ****.

Reporter: "Hey, this kinda seems like the GM made some sort of power play here."

GM: "HOW DARE YOU!??!? You made my wife CRY!!!!!"

Yeah... good luck finding a replacement coach after this trainwreck Buffalo... They'll be fortunate to find someone who's even as good as McDermott already was.
It appears that Beane was promoted as a show of confidence after McDermott told the owner that the roster is 5hit.

The way I see it, everybody is to blame. Beane drafted Coleman who has been worthless and Beane failed to be pro active regarding obvious vacancies before the starter left. McDermott's Superbowl was beating NE this year. Its perfectly clear that Vrabel is a defensive wizard, but I cant think of a Bills win where McDermott got the praise for his defensive prowess. His strategy was to rely on Josh Allen to win.

Whoooopsie...... So now what... The GM was lying then, or he's lying now?

This is such a **** show. And I think Pegula said Josh Allen will get to help decide who the new coach is? Because THAT always goes so well... The Bills are screwed.

They won't get a HC as good as McDermott to work for this GM and ownership.

Thankfully for us, the Bills are likely to be much less successful in the next 8 years compared to the last 8 years.

In order to improve, the Bills needed to fire their GM (this year or last or the year before), not their coach. Given just how poor the GM and owner have been, McDermott and Allan have a very good record over the last 8 years.
McDermott needed to go. He wasn’t going to win a championship. But they should have cleaned house. That, of course, would have meant ownership failed which is probably why they kept Beane. It’s going to be a mess there for the next few years at least.

Steve Bisciotti handled the post-coach firing the right way. Straight to the point, outlined the power structure, and laid the blame on himself. Grown up and decisive.

For some reason, I have been getting clips from the Buffalo sports station on my Instagram feed for months. I saw a clip earlier this week right where they were talking about Beane has been blaming everyone and everything else for the Bills' problems other than himself for years now. He never takes ownership for his mistakes.

Can someone summarize??

So, it’s going to be Daboll or Joe Brady? And what exactly do they think is going to be different?

Diabolical muh hahaha.

I feel bad for the good fans of Buffalo.

Maybe we should have felt this way about the Mayo hiring, and maybe we did but tried to put the best spin on it.

Good Buffalo fans are going to be hurting from this.

They have one great player and an otherwise rudderless team to follow.

Hey now, for you to dare question Beane’s character like that is BS! His wife has tears running down her face because of accusations like that.

Man, how must you feel if you're Keon Coleman. I mean, personally IDGAF but damn to have the owner of your franchise throw you under the bus like that can't be fun.

The Bills have one massively overrated QB and nothing else and I am absolutely here for it.

chaos in buffalo... sundays wings will taste twice as delicious

i get pegula owns the team, but surely someone told him to never do that again... it was pathetic
