Hopefully so, that would be huge, although it seems very early in process to receive the all clear.
Doubt he’s received the all clear but he must be feeling pretty good about his chances.

There is still a possibility that he was never inducted into C-protocol. It is unclear from reporting.

He was definitely NOT identified by on field monitors, as he sat on bench for a while.

If he was as suggested, nominated by eyes in sky & sent to locker room for testing - it is unknown what those results were. BUT, there is some kind of comments made that he came back to sidelines and was held out of rest of game at “coach’s decision’. [that is, no concussion identified.]. Not sure on truth of that, but it would track w Gonzo’s own ‘I’m good.’ comments.

We’ll know soon enough when we see his status for Wed practice participation.

Patience grasshopper.

Vrabel said after the game that he was in concussion protocol and that they would not let him back into the game and thus was in the protocol. Pretty definitive.

Direct Quote:

I would say that he would be in the protocol. How long that lasts, I don't know, but when you don't return to the game, when they won't let you go back in the game, that would put him in the protocol.

Just clearing the steps of the protocol normally takes 5 days. Though typically requiring 24 hours may not apply in 100% of cases and he could move quicker. Henderson was back to non contact (Day 4) on a Thursday so that would be the day I'd expect Gonzo back though Wednesday is a small percent chance if he moves quickly though the protocol.

Highly unlikely Nico Collins gets thru but his first day to show he could play is likely Friday. His looked more severe and the average return is 9 days which he more likely will take but you just never know.

There is no official minimum time; progression is symptom-based. Logistically, it takes at least a few days to clear all steps.

Each step in the process typically requires a minimum of 24 hours without a return of symptoms before advancing.

Hadn’t seen/heard that quote. Thx.

Still kind of weirdly worded: “ I would say…”

Is there Like a version of you are in the protocol, but where you can pass Go and collect $200 and go straight to stage 3 or something? Never heard of that, but ???

It's nuts that Bruce Lee shoulda been in the role that David carradine got. Bruce cowrote it and then the show Warrior got made with his original treatment.

The cauldron scene in the opening credits where he gets his tattoos is epic.

agreed. "I would say..." and "That would put..." make it sound like Vrable assumed he was in the protocol, but it doesn't sound definitive.

Either way, it seems Gonzo is pretty confident, so I will be as well. Meanwhile, Nico got carted off, with a towel over his head... I'd guess his return is doubtful.

So of course if this all holds true and the Pats win we'll have to listen to how meaningless it is because their bset offensive player was out.

Gonzo good to go….

Their best WR Nico Collins out…

Looking good.

As soon as the spotter got him off the field he was in it... Is why he never reentered the game

Are you sure about this? I think the spotters job is just to get him to go be examined. I believe guys have been pulled by spotters in the past and returned to the game.

It's the last part + vrabels presser that confirms it...

Guys can be checked in the blue tent and return to action... But when they don't return, it's kinda becomes obvious

ok, I guess I was just questioning the "as soon as the spotter got him off the field" part. Really, you mean after he went through the evaluation in the tent. And TBH, based on Vrable's wording, and Gonzo's actions I'm not convinced. Is it possible that the tent evaluation saw enough to send him to the lockerroom for further evaluation and by the time that was done the game was well in hand?
