If it's throws to the sidelines or boundaries sure absolutely go for it.. but we must understand that Texans secondary are ball Hawks led by Stingley Jr. Williams will be a huge factor on the outside if we can get that going..
I think down the middle is the sweet spot. It's also a zone so things will be open 15 yards downfield over the middle.

I would say definitely yes. I'd take Pitre and Bullock over Derwin James, anyday.

James is a big playmaker but he's limited. He's more of a safety LB hybrid.

Whereas Bullock can cover, and even though Pitre came in as a safety, he does play slot CB and covers TEs.

The Texans essentially play 3 safeties, and the 3rd safety is Myles Bryant. SO...

Attack Myles Bryant in the middle.

Lassiter and Stingley guard the boundaries.

Pitre locks down TEs and slot guys.

Your 3rd receiver needs to attack Myles Bryant and avoid Bullock.

Myles Bryant didn't see a lot of defensive snaps against the Steelers.

We need the Pats attacking the ZONE, their LBs and Pitre. Force the Safeties to play back a yard or two by running WRs over the top. Don't be afraid of hitting the TE on a SEAM route.

I just got the Big one... do they have any weakness on D??
Myles Bryant

I expect Maye to come out with the jitters due to what's at stake and concerns about the big scary defense. He may rush things early on so I hope Josh has scripted an opening drive realizing this. I think once he settles into the flow of the game he will start doing damage. I just dont expect it early on, I hope I am wrong.

Of note: He is not working with the same crew that called that game. The Play-off crews are the "All-Star" teams of officials. You have to break it down further into what he, himself, was responsible for vs. what the other officials were responsible for.
Yeah, I noted that all star crew possibility in my post.

First day on the job of inspecting the nflreferee.com website; but I didn’t see where I could dig down to individual flag-thrower data.
You are welcome to try.

Myles Bryant
My son and I would singer the Winger song "Miles Away" every time Bryant would get burned when he was with the Pats. He has to be considered a weakness in the secondary.

Already a successful season with a playoff win and a 14-3 record. Don’t let the Brady dynasty fool you into believing this wasn’t a good season for the team and franchise.

With that said, I want more. You really don’t know when you’ll be back. This is the year to get to the Super Bowl and become champions.
I know this is looking ahead, but if Maye can beat the Broncos in Denver, that'd be better than anything TB12 did in Denver for the playoffs (0-3). I guess the other side is beating the never has been at all-en at home.

I think the time for jitters is over. He has a playoff game under his belt. Maybe at the next stage he'll have them again and certainly if he gets to the Super Bowl

Man, that 2015 AFCCG was one of Brady's finest moments. He took more hits and stood there than any game i could remember. He was incredible.

And then he missed a wide open Gronk in the end zone on the 2 point conversion.

Al-Shakir is a pro bowler this year.

So many things wrong in such a short sentence.

First, his name is Al-Shaair.
Second, Pro-Bowl means jack s**t and hasn't meant anything for a long time.
Third, Al-Shaair has allowed 49 receptions on 64 targets. He's good, but it doesn't change the fact that their Front 4 makes the LBs look better.

BTW, you lost a lot of credibility by trying to sell Mike Jackson as being better than Carlton Davis. You're buying into PFFs grades and letting it cloud reality.

What do you know, the game is at 3:00 PM like I said it would be, with the game containing the West Coast team on at 6:30 PM, even though there was a whole argument about how I didn't know what I was talking about... Weird!

Davis reminds me of Brandon Browner who was a CB on the team that won the seattle super bowl. he was super handsy and aggressive, a bit on the decline, but generally got the job done. Davis seems the same, just got to live with a couple penalties each game but overall solid.
The problem with the Penalties on Davis is that half of them were BOGUS because the balls were uncatchable. Like in the the WCG.. Never should have been called because the ball was OOB.. That bogus DPI was the 9th accepted penalty on him this season.

Davis isn't a world beater, but he's a very good #2 CB even with his salary being on the top end.

Even with Collins out, Houston has 4 talented receivers in Kirk, Higgins, Hutchinson, and Noel. I expect our secondary to be tested.. f

Ok, you're right. I'm wrong

Come on, Ross. We know you were just trying to up your post count to be on the "Top Poster" list after the reset..

Just learned Josh McDaniels brother, Ben,
is a wr coach for the Texans. Does anyone know how long he’s been there??
4th year with the Texans, 2nd year as the WR Coach/Passing game Coordinator.. per the Houston Texans Website.

Gonna have to disagree abt that "wide open" thing tho... He was blanketed.

Sort of off topic with all the focus on the Texans defense, but I think folks lose sight of the fact that the Patriot’s defense is different when Milton Williams, Gonzo and Spillane are all healthy and on the field. If Gonzo can play, given how the Texans offense is, unless they give up points to the Texans defense or special teams, I think 20 points probably gets it done.

And I think Josh and Maye get us to 20
real challenge this week will be chubb and co. this running game is going to be more a factor than in the chargers game.

My point was more about the Ref and what he was responsible for vs. what the crew he was on called.
