Lawrence had flashes of brilliance mixed into his crap play today. Nix can literally go three quarters of play that makes Justin Fields look like an All Pro.

I think he mostly had flashes of competence.

When I watch Pats' games, I always listen to the home radio broadcast, so I don't hear much national pre-game and in-game commentary. It has gotten really bad, hasn't it? Too many ex-athletes and third-tier model chicks pointlessly spewing every conceivable permutation of the predictable sports cliches. Once upon a time newspaper sports writers were actually respected as journalists and as writers. Now we have this crap. An example of how our national culture is just garbage.

As a kid I thought Rivers was a prick. He probably still is somewhat. But watching him play on a torn ACL as a youngster made me appreciate the sacrifice athletes put in to the game.

As much as I wanted the Bills to lose, this might have been the best outcome for us. We don't have to play Jax, Bills have to face Denver. One of them has to lose. I think this is about the best we could have hoped for.

That's a very adult perspective, so, you know, I didn't think of it.

Well two road teams have won so far this weekend !! I expected the Rams to win but I really thought the Jags could pull it off .

Yeah they went away from the run which kept it a game. I would rather have my fate decided by the RB than Lawrence.

And....Lawrence is exactly why I was hesitant about the Jags. He is too inconsistent and some of the throws and IQ decisions today is something a rookie should do. Not a 5th year vet.

Lawrence was straight trash for the first 11 games of the season. Did good in 5 of last 6 games and suddenly people forgot his previous 70 career games.

No, they never are. Sometimes you can diddle them into sync, but I don't bother. Sometimes I see a play before I hear about it; sometimes I hear about a play before I see it. After a lot of years - well back into the Gil and Geno era - I'm just used to it. Back in the 70's, I used to watch the Bruins games on TV (when they would come in), but I always listened to Bob Wilson do the radio broadcast. He's still my favorite announcer if all time. It could have been all those doobies, of course, but I think it was mostly Bob, r.i.p.

This 9’er / Eagles game is going to be typical NFC physical. Not a fan of the Eagles. Pulling for the 49’ers. Agree with the …feed CMC….and be physical up front. Lean on the run game and pull him out from blocking into some opportunistic screens.
