BTW the QB vote worked out to:

Stafford: 31 1st, 18 2nd

Allen: 1 1st, 3 2nd

Maye: 18 1st, 29 2nd

This is good news for Maye's chances for MVP. I heard Breer and I think one other MVP voter say that the way he is voting is to give Stafford or Maye the first team All Pro vote and then give the other the first place MVP vote. That may be the thinking of a lot of voters. Not sure how many voters overlap with both awards.

That and choosing the Offensive Player of the Year which is voted on by most of the same journalists

AFAIK, it's the exact same group of voters.

Marcus Jones should be ahead of Chimere Dike at PR. I know their averages are exactly alike, but Marcus is much more willing to take punts back & rarely FCs them. Dike has 2x as many fair catches. For that reason alone, Marcus's #s are more impressive.

Maye lead Stafford in nearly every statistical category and did so with a SIGNIFICANTLY weaker supporting cast, but sure, give the old dude a lifetime achievement award. What a ****in' joke. They're gonna hand Stafford an undeserved MVP award too. The entire NFL world still hates the Pats and doesn't even try to hide their bias.

Prepare to get boned Sunday night by the refs.

I believe Gonzo was snubbed. Witherspoon missed 5 games. That alone should disqualify him from an All-Pro vote.

It’s interesting that Onwenu received votes. We seem stuck trying to evaluate his play on here.
These are sportswriters voting, who are only slightly more knowledgeable than the fans voting for the pro bowl. Some of them know what they’re talking about. But for all we know Ben Volin gets a vote.

Case in point, Jaylynn Hawkins received a 1st place vote from a sportswriter for safeties. We’ve been debating his value all year here, while some sportswriter thought he was one of the 2 best safeties in the NFL this year.

Gonzo wasn't snubbed... he didn't have a single INT the entire season. Hard to think of even one big play he had. Some nice tackles sure, but I was unimpressed with him overall.
Doesn’t matter. Revis, Asomugha & plenty of other CBs have made All-Pro without having any interceptions during the season. It’s about coverage.

Gonzo missed 3 games, only 2 fewer than Witherspoon.

That doesn’t help your argument. 5 > 3. He had 1 INT & benefited from significantly better defense surrounding him. I like Witherspoon..a lot actually, but he wasn’t better than Gonzo individually at CB this year. Most likely it was because Seattle had the #1 defense this year. IIWII…
