I don’t see them blowing it all up, they have too much invested in older players like Henry and Andrews. They were also pretty hurt for most of the year.

It will take another failure for them to acknowledge their window has closed

Looks like they did. Belichick only survived because of Brady. No one is safe in the NFL anymore.

That's 18 years, one Super Bowl, and a lot of early exits. With a multiple MVP QB, a HoF Running back, and most of that with a pretty damn good defense.

Eventually, sneak-dissing your QB through your reporter buddies only gets you so far.

Pittsburgh was their Kryptonite in the late 2000's and early 2010's. The Lee Evans drop in 2011 was brutal. When that ball was thrown right in the bread basket, I thought the game was over. They could've beaten the Giants.

On paper, the Ravens had no business losing to Tennessee in 2019, but Dean Pees and Vrabel put together a great game plan making Jackson do something he hates doing - be strictly a pocket passer.

2023-2024 was their window and they blew it.

But winning A Super Bowl puts you ahead of most.
12 playoff berths in 18 years is better than most. (Average is 43% now and 38% before the 3rd wc was added).
Over .500 in the playoffs is good. Hes 13-11.

He’s better than at least 40 of the last 50 HCs hired.

Baltimore would be a dream destination for many potential HC's. Franchise QB, good owner, history, and good GM.

Curious who they will hire

That would be a fantastic landing spot for Stefanski, to be honest.

John Harbaugh was a random and controversial hire in 2008. It will be interesting which direction they go this time.

So, John Harbaugh was fired because his rookie field goal kicker didn't pay attention to the Steelers' kicker who moment before kicked an extra point wide right, which looked like it was wind-affected.

Definitely correct -- head coach completely responsible for kicker failing to notice prevailing conditions.

No, he was fired because he has a 2-time league MVP QB, a hall of fame running back, a top-10 defense, a top-10 offensive line, two good tight ends, a dynamic receiver, and has won 3 playoff games in the last 13 years - and tried to throw said QB under the bus in the media this past week.

My fear is that Buffalo will fire McDimwit , and hire Harbaugh as coach.

Firing Harbaugh isn’t closing the window and blowing it all up. Trading Jackson would be.

I don’t hate the move. They have 1-3 more shots with Lamar. Maybe a different coach gets them there.

They will most likely hire an offensive coach, maybe Kliff Kingsbury or Stefanski. Wasn’t Josh the one who wanted to draft Lamar?

Landing spot and homecoming for Bill Belichick?

If Baltimore were smart - and they're one of the smarter ones, they'd stay away with Taiwan Cliffy as HC.

I get the idea, but you can get the same thing with Stefanski, and someone who's won in the league before.

I was just thinking of him.

Though, do they want an offensive HC to pair with the QB?

This might be one of the most in demand job openings in recent memory.

Agree. For all the flack we give Baltimore (and never forget RLKAG), they are one of the best run franchises in the NFL, having ownership with long term commitment and vision, a solid GM, and on top of that one if the best QBs in the game. When’s the last time an opportunity like that opened up? Maybe Indy in 2009 when Bill Polian (ugh) was still holding Jim Irsay at bay and was still producing good drafts? Otherwise I’d say 2007 when the Steelers hired Tomlin.

Wonder if that means they're going to keep Lamar. There'd be rumors floated that he might be traded..

Jackson's dead cap if traded is insane. It's something like $80 Million.
