I assume your question is rhetorical, but the real answer is: Woody Johnson is a certified dope. When the season started, the Jete roster was not bad save for big questions at quarterback. A good coach would've had this team finishing at or slightly below .500.

How on earth do Jets fans NOT boycott that team until Woody Johnson sells?????? They deserve their owner.

As a New England Patriots fan the one fundamental I can state is that OWNERSHIP MATTERS.

These aren't a few seasons of up-down that are narrow - these are long-term pattern performance comparisons.
