Brady just picked his MVP

Matt Stafford

i don't blame Brady for this. He's known and respected Stafford for close to 20 years. For Brady this is "lifetime achievement award for a future HOFer and a box to tick off. May will have many years to get his. Brady didn't win his first until his 9th season IIRC

I still think it would be a big mistake to hire a 73 coach who seems to be stuck in the past and has demonstrated some peculiar behaviour with that age.
To each their own, but if he goes to Atl, I think it's a recipe for disaster.
Can BB construct and coach defense?

Brady won his in his 8th season. They made it a point to mention it during the broadcast.

Greg Olsen said that sort of thinking about "Lifetime Achievement" is BS. As is the thought process of "Maye will have plenty of chances".

Personally, with how often that the MVP has actually won the SB in the same year, I'd rather take the SB..

Stafford and Maye seemed abut equal going into this weekend. I think that folks might check out Stafford's day before thinking that Brady's day clinched the award.

How can you not blame Brady for using criteria that isn’t part of the actual criteria?
MVP has never been a career award, it this season, only this season and if Brady is saying that he’s 100% wrong.

Mayes day was better

He basically admitted he picked Stafford for his career and that he is older has fewer chances of winning it in future seasons.
Which is the way the majority of the voters will vote too. It’s a lock Stafford will win it for sentimental reasons.

It was always going to be Stafford

I keep seeing this shared but it’s incorrect. 2025 Stafford and 2020 Rodgers both have 8 which is the most in a season. I don’t care to check the others since they got those two wrong. 2014, 2018 Luck and 2021 Rodgers have the second most in a season with 6
