This is going to impact his contract for next season.

I am not sure how the pats extend him after this story . It's too risky . There might be some clauses and diggs might need to take on another incentive a playtime based contract with clear out provisions for off field issues .

Thought he has a three year contract. So it won’t affect it at all. Only effect would be if Pats cut him, and that just means he has 31 other teams to bid for his services. There will be plenty willing to overlook this and pay him. NBD on the contract front.

Yes he did. You are quoting what the accuser said “some woman” left on a voicemail and misrepresenting that Diggs said it.

We are all guessing based on how we want to read the limited info available. We don't know if there is evidence. We do know the timing of asking for charges to be pressed, wrt her wanting money from him, is suspicious. We also know the police don't have a choice but to do so. So we will see.

So far what we appear to have here is a financial dispute between Diggs and a personal chef he hired, with the chef stating he owed her money leading to the physical altercation.

I find it a little odd that a guy who got a $12 million signing bonus is trying to weasel out of a dinner tab and then having it go to these lengths. In this day and age people are willing to "doxx" people at the drop of a hat, so the prospect of say, someone "seeking a bigger tip from a millionaire or else" is probably something the NFL would consider... in fact they routinely counsel young players on avoiding those situations.

It will be interesting to see if the AG thinks they have enough evidence to pursue the case. I don't see the NFL taking action until after there's an investigation by law enforcement.

We have no idea what she is being paid. SHE claims that she is owed pay for a week that Diggs told her he didn't need her. Pretending like it's a $500 dinner tab is ridiculous.

Its a pure "She said/ He said" situation. Especially when she has no physical evidence of bodily harm.

My thoughts are simple. Play the year out as we won't have all the facts anyway. If this is still an issue in June, make a choice. I don't want to be one of those teams where WRs who choke people stay on, if that is the case. Let's not be KC if there turns out to be serious smoke here.

Thankfully i believe there were a million safe guards in the contract and if we need to separate i don't think we a liable for anything.
