Made my statement with the assumption it was a male chef. Gunna walk my statement back. Unless she threatened him with a weapon, no cause for him to put his hands on a woman. None.
If she shoved him or slapped him or refused to leave his house, there is cause.

Jury pool is irreparably tainted. Another reason prosecutors won’t want to go to court with this case. They know they’re being used by her lawyer to run up the monetary settlement. The case stinks. Diggs’ lawyers got a clear basis for appeal, mistrial, mor venue change from the jury pool issue. Judge may just have released the police report knowing the case won’t make it to trail and wanting to punish the defendant for what she sees as bad behavior.
Diggs acknowledged that something happened. In other words, he knew she was going to the police, told her not to, and then said whatever happened was not a big deal. The DA would not have sought charges at all unless he thought this was enough.

Just curious, do you have Triumph blocked? He Welshed on a bet and has continued to Welsh on it for 5 years now
Maybe he doesn't have the money, would you accept some chickens or maybe a pig or two?

Intruder eh? When a domestic lives in your home and you physically try to evict her, you consider that a home invader?

Really?

If you're fired from a job, you aren't allowed back in to get your belongings. It's your employer's responsibility to make arrangements to return the items to you. Why would this be any different?

If she was already fired, then she had no business being IN the house on Dec. 2nd. That would be trespassing and yes, it could be considered a Home Invasion. The timing of her termination matters.

So it's a money dispute and the allegations of physical contact is a lie meant to work up the hive mind weirdos like me who are quick to call him a POS?

Or did he put his hands on a woman over a birthday cake
None of us know those details.

Including you.

Thats why some of us are not jumping to conclusions, and are advising those who are jumping to conclusions that you really shouldn’t do that.

This is much worse than I thought it was 10 minutes ago.

The sort of stuff detailed is the kind of thing that gets him either cut or suspended by the NFL.

AND he seems to acknowledge that something happened and that this was NOT all made up.

Telling her in writing that she didn't need to go to the police and there is still time to reverse because nothing really happened?

That's a practical acknowledgement that something did happen.

Cardi B actually then contacted this woman on Diggs' behalf?

It doesn't sound like sexual assault and that is not alleged, but the details about wanting her out of his house for a couple weeks, and then finding her in her bedroom in his house, these are the kinds of allegations which would make a jury surmise that something happened in that bedroom.
Where is this coming from?

Diggs acknowledged that something happened. In other words, he knew she was going to the police, told her not to, and then said whatever happened was not a big deal. The DA would not have sought charges at all unless he thought this was enough.
How did he acknowledge something happened?

They will pay her; she'll drop the charges. Pretty obvious how it ends. Which will leave what actually happened to be an unanswered question. Seems like there are no witnesses, and I assume no cameras.

2nd time Diggs off the field issue has surfaced in this season. He could have avoided both with better decision making.
What was the 1st??

Better decision making?
First off, he hasn't been proven guilty of anything.
Secondly, no other WR wanted to come here, and Diggs impact has been significant.
What better decisions could we have made and keep in mind he has not been found guilty of anything).
He was saying that DIGGS could be making better decisions., not the Pats.

EDIT: You caught it.

Clauses invalidate any dead cap money if they decide to cut him based on this case.
Depends. I don't think the dead cap is invalidated but a partial cap credit is issued. See the Hernandez and Brown resolutions. Potato potahato.

The bet wasn't with me but he proclaimed he had it 'right here' if I was 'man enough' to come get it. Before you ask, no I have no idea why he'd think I would be interested in going to his sister's barn in East Podunk to collect someone else's bet

I learned as a rookie from a training officer that there is always two sides to the story and somewhere in the middle is the truth and it was my job to find it. This is a case that on its face value thus far will be extremely difficult to prosecute based on what we know today. Currently I would be surprised if it makes it to trial.

Whoever said a settlement was being negotiated got it wrong. She was asked last week by police if she wanted criminal charges pressed. She said yes.

This is AFTER Stefon Diggs contacted her to come to an agreement, AFTER Cardi B also contacted her, AFTER one of Diggs' advisors also contacted her. She initially did not decide to press charges. Four days after the visit to the police station, she told police to tell Diggs and his people NOT to contact her or anyone associated with her anymore. When the officer asked if she wanted to press criminal charges, she said YES.

Now, anything can happen between lawyers, but based on the information we have so far, she is not interested in a negotiated settlement.
Either she is really pissed, or she is raising the price. I’m betting the latter, probably fueled by the former. She’s gotten a pretty good shyster as her lawyer and they’re going for maximum payoff. Thing is, once it goes to court and the verdict is in Diggs has no reason to pay her so if it goes that far all she gets is the bill from her lawyer. She and her lawyer both know that. And her lawyer knows she won’t have the money to pay that bill if she doesn’t get any payoff from Diggs. So, they’ll eventually settle.

Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Bet (by a good Welshman, Dylan Thomas)

Do not go gentle into that good bet,
Triumph should burn and rage not paying bets;
Rage, rage against not paying of the bet.

Though wise men at their end know they are right,
Because their words had fecked up lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good bet.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced green money,
Rage, rage against not paying of the bet

Wild men who caught Triumph in full flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good bet.

Grave men, near drunk, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like Triumph and be gay,
Rage, rage against not paying of the bet.

And you, my Triumph, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, all now with his false tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good bet.
Rage, rage against the dying of payment.

I've come to no conclusion other than he's a piece of ****.

i understand now that the bet wasn't with you, but... "If your man enough to come over and get it" Thats nonsense

Brother sometimes I think maybe you need to get out more. Then I look at in the most important light, how it would effect me. That's when I realize I want you on that wall, I NEED YOU ON THAT WALL!
