So you think a Buffalo team that came back from 21-0 in NE and win is going to go to Jax and lose handily? Interesting.

Yeah. Assuming they're not riddled with injuries on their defense when the time comes. They're 12-4 on a 7 game win streak and recently scored 34 on the vaunted Broncos defense. There's a reason I and many Patriots fans are licking their chops at a rematch with the Bills.

I know it's not too insane to consider it, but I think playing/winning the AFCCG might be a bridge too far for this team. We do have some weaknesses that DEN, TEX, JAX and even BUF (already) exposed.

Risking the wrath of Pats Nation, I'm looking ahead to suggest realistic FA's we could sign to bolster depth on O:
TE Pitts/Likely, WR Pierce/Jennings/Doubs, RB Hall/Dowdle

The fact that you look at the Patriots depth issues, and immediately start listing WRs, when this is the best WR room we've had in probably a decade here - maybe look at other positions when you're watching the game - a suggestion.

The Patriots have serious depth issues - factual statement.
WR is like 10th on the list of things they need to address. It's like, 5th or 6th on just the offensive side of the ball.

Will the Bills lay down and intentionally want the # 7 seed?

1. Key NE players are still out or back for the WC round, but somewhat vulnerable being absent for so long.
2. Short travel. More drunk Mafia are able to attend.
3. Familiarity with an AFCE opponent vs an AFCS opponent.
4. Taking back the AFCE if they win.
5. Thinking long-term and screwing the Jets with a lower draft slot.

What are you talking about? They have plenty to play for. They win, they get a better seed.
Plus, you want to be playing sharp heading into the playoffs.
They have a good shot at beating Denver

If they beat DEN and NE beats MIA then LAC plays in DEN the very next week. If they rest starters and lose they go to NE instead. I pretty strongly suspect they'd rather play NE than DEN in the wildcard round and so will be resting starters. But we'll see!
