Drake Maye has arrived . . .

A caller on weei suggested that the Patriots start Dobbs vs the Jets because they are so bad. The Jets suddenly won't look as bad when the QB matchup is no longer a mismatch.

Is that a risk a team wants to take? Vrabel especially would never hear the end of it if they lost & Buffalo stole the division. Fireable offense. Which is why it will never happen & callers on sports talk shows need to be screened out better.

Found a good Film breakdown of all of Mayes longer passes vs Ravens. From 58 seconds to 1minute 45 you should skip the ad.

I was away so just got a chance to watch the whole game. Take away the couple turnovers and Maye was almost unstoppable

Maye looks generational HOF great and that's with a good, formerly great, WR in Diggs, an above average TE and then average to below across the board.

That caller is a moron.
The ONLY reason I don't fear a letdown loss is because Drake Maye won't let it happen.
It's an NFL team, the last thing you want to do is tell your team it's a cakewalk and let the other team know you think it is. You want to see 1 team come out flat and 1 fired up, start Dobbs.

Gotta be honest, I am surprised you were not banned for posting Porn on this site.

I like it, but Acho needs to work on his delivery. Really repetitive.

Then you run here....Are you a serious person? Legitimately, do you EVER take yourself seriously? Or are you just trollin' around?

Any post that starts with " A caller on WEEI ...." should be immediately deleted by mods, and the caller should be banned for life?

I beg to differ… Steven Patton doesn’t do math….
it is either
The next Evolution (2032) QB3
[2018, +2, +4, +8] geometric progression
Or
The next Evolution (2040) QB3
[2018, +2, +4, +16] exponential sequence-progression.

Needless to say you might be waiting a while (2 centuries) for the next „generational“ qb for 2d one after Drake. (In exponential case)

OR, I suggest the jesters trade all their 2026;#1s for the 2032 draft right now and get ahead ( of the geometric progression).

After rewatching all the games over the last couple of weeks, one of the things that I find most astonishing is when he holds or moves safeties and LBs and then whips his head and lets it fly. He did this with the TD to Kyle Williams, at the snap he immediately looks to the left to hold the safety. Knowing he had man on Williams and that was where he was going.

He held the safety with his eyes and then whipped his head to the right and let it go, huge amount of trust because it did not seem to me that he had the chance to view where Williams was in relation to the DB. He just trusted Williams to win and the accuracy was insane.

He has done this over the entire field moving players to open passing lanes and the accuracy when he whips his head to the target and throwing. I am not comparing players but watching Maye is very much a QB clinic like it was watching Manning, Brady and Luck to an extent.

I have buddies in coaching at various levels and they all just marvel at Maye and is ability to hold/move defenders. I credit Josh McD a lot as far as his teaching, with this look you will probably get this and this area will more than likely be open. While crediting Josh the majority of credit goes to Maye and his ability to absorb information in the class room and then apply it on the field (very cerebral). he when you look at his physical abilities its pretty close to a guaranteed top 5 QB year in and year out.
