They would have to give up a 2nd round pick to get another team to take that albatross of a contract.
EDIT- BrockOsweiler......reference- traded with a 2nd rounder for a 7th rounder IIRC
Are you welching on your bet Sam?Take SOS and multiply by games lost to injury
It's very likely that the Option bonus stays with Miami as it is guaranteed money like the signing bonus. Even with part of it being paid out at the beginning of 2026.I think they’ll assume a lot of the hit like we did with Duggar.
If you go all the way no one cares.SOS is actually a recorded stat on BSPN NFL standings.
Pats only team with SOS below .400
They'll probably put an asterisk on it if we go all the way
Or all of them.Any of those 3 are fine by me.
Wow we face Brady & James Cook next week. The GOAT & the nfl rushing leader. Hate to say it, but this one may be a loss guys..Brady starting at QB for JETE
Brady Cook will start for the Jets in Week 17
The Patriots will be facing Brady Cook as they try to nail down an AFC East title in Week 17.www.nbcsports.com

If they cut Tua prior to the 3rd day of the league year, his cap hit jumps to $99.4M with them being on the hook for his $39M in guaranteed salary. They would STILL be on the hook for the option bonus in each 2027-2030.
If they cut Tua after the 3rd day, $3M of his 2027 salary becomes guaranteed as well.
According to OTC, Tua's cap hit if cut after June first would be a 67.4M hit. This is because Tua is receiving $15M in guaranteed option bonuses in 2026 in addition to his $39M in guaranteed Salary. So, his 2027 HIT would be the 43.8M remaining in Amortization PLUS the $3M in guaranteed salary for 46.8M.
Miami is 11.5M over next year's projected cap. They certainly can't afford to eat an additional $43M. Even eating the additional 11M will mean they have to make some big cuts. One of which is almost guaranteed to be Tyreek Hill. They'll also have to push a lot of money into following years...
I think its more about Josh and Vrabel getting to see how effective (effective in the sense of based off of the talent on the roster ((Josh knows the dink and dunk works)) they can be with the short game ( and Drake sees now as well) and making it more of an emphasis during the game.Wouldn’t it be something if that 4th quarter unlocked a whole new level of Drake ‘Drake Maye’ Maye. He was completely unstoppable. Same with Diggs, and Rhamondre looked at least somewhat like the 22 rham.
Just hope we can get some kind of burst in run d. Milton Williams is eligible to return i think.

No one becomes a Jets fan. They're born into it and have to fight their way free. And when they get free, all they can do is mourn the ones left behind and hope that someday they find their own way free.
There's a holiday coming up?So are we Practicing Today with the holiday coming up??
Why do you want someone to bail out the Dolphins? If we're wishing things into existence, can I wish Tua to the Jets to become a thing?
Trade Hill and this is all doable. Hill won't want to stay on a team that will take a couple of years to be competitive. They can and will cut him.
Like I said, it will be a post-June 1st designation release. His dead money in 2026 would become around $67M and $32M in 2027, per Schefter.
They are about $11M over the cap for 2026 right now, but that already includes $56M for Tua's contract, so it is only another ~$10M. That puts them around $21M over the cap, but they have around $80M of cap space in 2027. Now, that'd drop to about $50M after cutting Tua as well, but they can move things around and shed some other contracts and become compliant. Simply cutting Tyreek Hill would pretty much clear all the money needed to absorb Tua's deal.
They can keep him, trade him, or cut him. They're clearly not keeping him based on the benching and team comments. No team will trade for this contract while also knowing they'll be able to get the player for zero picks and a veteran minimum contract once he is released (see the Russell Wilson/Denver situation for an analogue). So.... all that's left is a release.
