Maybe I'm crazy but I feel like this has been Josh's only consistent weakness. To describe it I would say he anticipates defensive adjustments before they really start to take effect.

I like rhamondre. But he has made more than one dumb play here in NE. The Raiders game beeing the pinnacle something he never got enough grief for I felt.

The 10 game winning streak was a testament to our offense, facing decent defensive units but atrocious offensive units.



They didn't have to hold to 23 points. They had to stop one of 5 consecutive TD drives. The offense gave them 31 points and the defense outright collapsed, even falling to a level of penalties we haven't since the beginning the year.


Normally Josh is so committed to the run, even when it wasn't working, because the play action runs through that, make some fans very frustrated (however, most of us know that you need to. Ironic, that, when it's working, we abandoned it. We abandoned a lot of what normally works, when we had a thorough lead nonetheless. Just odd decisions coming out of the half.

It just seems like every once in a while Josh loses focus. Assuming it’s because he thinks he has a plan that will work and gets tunnel vision.

The guy we should pursue in FA at DT... next to Williams and Durden, Tonga... he is a beast on the Texans front..

I like Naquan; although he may a bit harder to get since Mario Edwards was just lost for the season. Houston may be more inclined to pay/keep him.

Drake Maye comes in and turns the fortunes of this franchise completely around, playing at MVP level this season and because they lost a game there are people talking **** and taking shots on him, it's disgraceful, and so are the people doing the ****ting.

Some people are just miserable and they sit around waiting for something to be miserable about and someone to blame for it. It’s really a statement on their own miserable failure of a life.

While Rham started that nonsense, Meyers was the result of arguably the dumbest play in football history to the butt fumble and the Colts fake punt.

There were some posters that believed Matt Patricia threw his arms up in the air signaling "touch down" while the play was going down like he just cooked up a successful play. It was clear as day he threw his arms up saying "WTF are you doing?"

The same way that to win a game the D has to held the opposing team under 23 points to win isn’t a great selling point either.

Drake Maye had opportunities to make comebacks last year and didn’t. It was put on « he is a rookie ».

He completely stunk in the second half of the raiders game after also having the lead at half time. It was put on « it’s week 1 »

Had an awful turnover driving to win the game against Pittsburgh. It was put on « he hasn’t played in a full season amount of games yet ».

I agree with you about him not being clutch right now, but lets look at this perspective: 1 kid was a 5 year starter with 60 or so games started at QB and the other kid was a 2 year starter with 26 or so starts.

So are you saying you would prefer having Bo Nix because of his clutchness?? Bo Nix has 8 4th QTR comebacks in his career(according to pro football reference, 3 as a rook and 5 this year) and Maye has none.

Since you brought up the D holding teams to under 23 points is not a selling point, not my words. In 5 of those 4th qtr comebacks 4 of the 5 teams did not score in the 20's. Only 1 of those games did the Broncos score over 23, I am not really sure what your point was.

there were 3 seconds left in regulation. they were running the clock out but rhamondre pitched it to meyers for a lateral after carrying the ball for 23 yards . yes meyers was dumber but rhamondre start the whole lunatic lateral.

I just mean it seems like he tries to guess the adjustments a defense is going to make and adjust to them before it actually happens. But this is 100% speculation and it's more of a description of what it seems like rather than me saying it actually happens.

He's an offensive savant and guys like that can get in their own heads sometimes when things seem to be going too well.

There's also the fact that it's fairly rare to open up that type of lead against a good team in the NFL and so it's not as familiar a situation.

No. In that scenario, our divisional record is better than theirs. The Bills will have lost to us and Miami. We'll only have lost to the Bills.
