It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Yeah looking at this offseason:Vrabel needs to borrow from some of BB's 3rd & long defensive looks. First, they should be in big dime with Pettus replacing the 2nd LB. Their All-Pro CB should be trailing the #1 option in man coverage (Kincaid). Go from there.
Gonzalez, Davis & Jones are the best CB trio in the NFL. Their LBs are mediocre & even worse with Spillane out of the game. The safeties are fine but Woodson is still a rookie. Third & long should be almost exclusively cover 1 & 2 man with their personnel.
Fair.Until we can go back to consistently handling the run game I'm going to have concerns..
Look at this defensive scheme. Like what are we doing here fellas?
Look at what Chiasson is doing. Is he trying to cover the RB or chip him? wtf lol
If you look at that play where diggs got held....there was about 10 players all within maybe a 5 yard box between the hashes....not easy for refs to see. Not saying it didn't happen but they still had 3 other plays...a ****ty pass to hollins, an airmail to no one on third down, and a tipped pass on 4th....a case could've been made that Maye couldve run for the first down on 4th...Beat Bosa and I think he gets itDrake Maye got robbed by a blatant holding in the middle of the damn field that wasn’t called. I’m not saying they’re gonna go down and score to win the game, but to say Maye failed is a joke, least give the dude a fair chance to lead his team instead of ending the game on a ridiculously obvious non call.
Respect…
I disagree about the play calling and searching for chunk plays. I thought they went away from the run too soon. We were pushing their front seven around and you don't just stop running the ball because you get stuffed once or twice. Beyond that, keeping the ball on the ground shortens the game, which is what you want when you have a lead and your defense has been on the field too much. Even if sticking to the run didn't lead to an increase in raw offensive production, it runs another couple minutes off the clock, which would have changed the dynamics of the end of the game.Adjustments will need to be made by Josh and they are going to have to do a better job answering TD drives to not only stop the bleeding, but also give the defense a rest. 5 straight TD drives is inexcusable. I like running the ball as much as anyone, but more urgency was need after the Bills scored their 2nd straight TD. I would've like to have seen Maye start throwing for chunk yardage.
Their front 7 looked 2002 soft. If they don't revert back to their early season form with Williams back in the lineup, it's going to be too difficult for them to win in January when RB's are running wild. It seemed like the Bills constantly had 3rd and 2 or 3rd and 4 at worst. When a poor pass rush is facing a QB like Allen who can take off running, it's impossible to stop. You have to hope he makes the wrong decision.
The only problem I have with the refs is their consistency. Personally I don’t think their call against us was totally BS. I am more upset that they didn’t call the Bills for the same thingsAnd how many of those 46 plays came after failed 3rd or 4th down conversions by BUF that were erased by ******** flags?
We don’t need to do anything. That’s for the team to handle..I think we should win the division first before thinking about the AFC Championship game
Agreed. Although Ellis has turned into a pretty dam good player.. there isn't a TE in the game thst can cover knox or Kincaid they burn every LB.. I think Vrabel defers the play calling alot to kurh and it is understandable but he needs to veto some calls sometimes.. soft zone especially in the red zone is exactly why we struggle there.. gonzo.said emphatically yesterday that he loves playing man.. post game.Vrabel needs to borrow from some of BB's 3rd & long defensive looks.
