Can NE still clinch the division next week with a win no matter what Buffalo does?

If the Pats win next week people in this thread should be named and shamed.
Alright so we know Today Maye is not perfect: we've been spoiled all these weeks.

Defense crapped all over themselves.

Coaches had no idea how to stop the bleeding at all.

We need a real DC.
This was all on coaching, and Drake Maye’s coach turned into a pumpkin (pardon the pun). The coaching **** the bed with a lack of a 2nd half adjustment, and Drake was pedestrian passing despite 2 touchdown runs. This was more embarrassing than anything. Up 21-0 and wind up getting outscored 35-10 the rest of the way. Difference is, they have a QB who still gives you a chance when down 21 points, our QB couldn’t come back from 4 points at the end.

That being said, I predicted a loss, didn’t think it would happen the way it did, but I felt keeping a double digit wining streak going is tough for any team. I felt the team would get behind early and try to come back, never thought they’d be up 21-0, but no lead is safe when Allen is on the field, he’s the best QB in football and may win his 2nd MVP in a row the way he’s ending the season.

There are some positives in my opinion. Of course Henderson was spectacular, he’s a threat to go the distance on any play. He’s up to 773 yards on only 143 carries (5.4 yards a carry) and 7 TD rushes. The team ran the ball down their throats, 246 yards rushing total, for 9.8 yards a carry, and 4 rushing TDs, and still lost, all I could do is shake my head.

I also thought Maye, despite being subpar passing, showed a lot of fight, despite not showing to be clutch at the end.

Also, this may just be a reset for the season, maybe they needed a punch in the mouth to show them that they need to play better. If we can get Milton back soon, that would be tremendous for the defense.

You can’t win every game, they weren’t gonna go 15-2, they still control their own destiny in the division, if they can win out, they will be sitting pretty. But they need to play better, Baltimore will be a big test, and the Dolphins have been playing really good football lately, so 2 really good tests for the Pats. Jets are in trouble, should win that one.

The final score isn’t as depressing as is the way it got to that score, if that makes any sense. Allen showed his true self the last two games, he’s a monster, gonna be tough to beat in the playoffs. But teams can run on them. That’s how you beat them. Run it down their throats, and if a team can play solid defense, limit Allen’s explosiveness, they can be beat.

So it didn’t happen because he made other plays?

I'm saying that it didn't happen because it didn't happen.

Even if Henderson ran the wrong route, which objectively you have no clue if that's true, it doesn't change the fact that Maye needed to tuck the ball and run anyway.

Our receivers just aren't that good for deep 1 man coverage. Even in first half, how much did they contribute?

Personally ship some drafts to vikings for JJ forst next year

No.

If NE wins and Buffalo loses, the Patriots are at three losses. Bills at 5.

Theoretically, the Patriots could lose to Jets/Miami & Bills beat Eagles & Jets.

Bills win the division

I am 100% sure that AJ Brown will be a Patriots next year.

And with how he is playing this year you might not need to give a 1st for it. I think he is playing his way out of Philly

A loss is a loss. No matter how they lost everyone would be complaining about how they lost
There is a pattern of the offense doing nothing in the second half of games. It's been going on for awhile. Today it caught up to them.

The defense has gotten worse with injuries. Specifically the run defense. They got absolutely shredded today. In the air and on the ground.

The Patriots need to beat both the Jets/Dolphins to win it if Buffalo go 3-0.

Diggs got basically tackled on the 4 and 5, check the tape, no call. Refs refs refs refs refs....
Diggs was still a None Factor against his old Team Today. H Henry was a joke: if we had TE Dawson Knox or Dalton Kincaid we win.

1. Getting Milton back will be huge.

2. But they cannot get run over by the ravens next week who finally looked like most thought they would today, and don't say but it was the Bengals because we barely beat them and that was without burrow and chase.

3. When we ran misdirection it was really successful today because Buffalo was over pursuing and yet it wasn't utilized. That was really frustrating.

4. 2/15 vs 7/65. The two calls against the bills were must calls. They called every 50/50 against the pats and most were on impactful 3rd downs. A few were BS.

5. TEs killed us. We have to find a way to be better.

6. Maye was not accurate today. Hopefully an anomaly and not a bad weather trend. That said our receivers were not winning and I thought they would. Plus that was without Benford.

7. Second half we lost both LOSs, badly.

8. We lost special teams too. Letting the Bills start at midfield cannot happen.

9. Hollins celebrations are both hysterical and awesome.

I say it again...

J McD and DM need to figure out the deep 1 cover...otherwise its a big problem

If Henderson broke off the route and Maye expected him to continue and he would be open, you are an idiot if you think he is supposed to run instead of throwing to an open receiver.
But you thought he just threw it to no one so does your whining really matter any way? Drop this one, and you’ll cry about something else.

There are not ifs and buts about it, it is a pathetic loss.

We were up big at the half.
Defense could not stop a nose bleed.
Probably other things could be said to.

That being said, it is a fine loss to take... as long as we rebound from it. We had won 10 in a row and last thing you want is to buy your own hype.

Let the media crown Allen MVP or whatever and concentrate on what matters.
But, the game is 60 minutes.

The PATS gave up 28 points in the 2nd half and only scored 7.

The Bears are a 2nd half team too.
