Just heard a talking heads who hates the Patriots knock them because they only have 2 wins over a team with a winning record.

The Bills only have 1 win over a team with a winning record.

And one of those Teams were the Bills so there's that. I guess we'll just have to win again for emphasis.

Bills NT/DT Deone Walker is an underrated piece of that defense. He’s been playing really well; especially for a rookie. Took them 20 years to redeem themselves for not selecting Ngata haha. (Joke)

Taylor seems undersized for DT. But 2 PDs suggests he’s got some speed, jump, and or agility. Question is whether those are knocked down at LoS?

Predraft analysis seems like he has athleticism but not technique. He’s been here two months, in the league two years. Has he improved enough to be a surprise contributor? They’re bringing him up to be active over Pharms. Is Pharms hurt or do the coaches see Taylor as a better matchup, or more deserving?

Pharms has had two elevations already, so maybe saving him for another game? Taylor is supposed to have an elite first step but certainly less experienced.

Whoever gets the lead first is big in this game. If the Patriots can get to 10 before they can, it helps mitigate the run defense loss. The Patriots gotta take every chance they can to get the lead and hold it. Force Allen to pass more.

Same thing happened in the Bengals game. Chase Brown may have had over 100 yards with a 5.6 apc, but a majority of that was in the first half. They abandoned it in the second half.

If their secondary is their strength, I like our chances.

Chompin' at the bit for this game! Excited!
I believe the running defense talk is bit overblown.. of course without milt they are going to give up yards in the run game..however it appears as if Vrabel is conceding giving up something in the running game and has been keeping the safeties back deep to prevent big plays..

Even without Milt... Tonga, Durden, farmer, Gregory, Ponder and some tough physical LBs like Spillane and Ellis should be enough to keep cook in check.. everything Buffalo wants to do in the run game derives of cook.

I just don't have the same feeling about the team having a let down under Vrabel.. this teams hungry and wants to win!

WIN THE DIVISION
by winning tomorrow
by beating MIA and the NYJ

FOR BUFFALO TO WIN THE DIVISION
they need win the rest of their games and
have us win only 0, 1 or 2, including the BAL game

Pats defensive stats in games Gonzalez played (weeks 4-14):

16.7 PPG
290.3 YPG
34.2% third down pct.
89.6 passer rating against
5th in EPA

While they've been helped by the schedule, they've played well vs. bad teams with good offenses. Flacco & Dart had arguably their worst games vs. the pats. Their pass rush isn't quite where we'd want it to be but the defense is still one of the least talked about units in the league. They have arguably the best CB trio in the NFL & that reflects in their 3rd down defense.

My real favorite stat is “Patriots W-L win percentage in games Gonzalez played (weeks 4-14)”.

Agreed... I'd also add that.. I'm sure Josh has shown the players film of the 2021 playoff beat down Buffalo gave us 47-17... keep it on replay for added motivation..

Just heard that the Bills are staying in Providence (as visiting teams do) and they have been told to shelter in place due to the awful Brown University shooting incident. I don’t think it will have any impact on anything, but it’s a sad, interesting thing to hear.

I hope no one here is affected by it. My dad lives a mile away and like most people, is just hunkering down.

So.. so sad.. to hear of this.. was watching the new coverage of it myself.. it's just a travesty. I pray for the families and the victims..
