2026 Mock Draft Thread

Mock simulators are so stupid.

Using PFSN's mock draft simulator, I have traded back twice from 32, to 35 and 55, picking up picks 86 and 103 and a Buffalo 2027 2nd round pick and giving up 132 and 210. So far I have taken:

55. Austin Siereveld, OL, Ohio St. (52)
64. TJ Parker, EDGE, Clemson (70)
86. Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati (84)

Feeling pretty good so far, IOL, EDGE and LB addressed. I missed out on binky Kade Pieper (68).

My priorities are to build around the lines. DB and TE also priorities. Love the 2027 extra 2nd round pick.

Patriots on the clock at 96, with picks 103, 131, 172, 187, 191 and 193 left. Manx will cry when Emmanuel Pregnon is picked at 95.

The following players are left on PFSN's board:

86. Fa'alili Fa'amoe, OT, Wake Forest
87. Mateen Ibirogba, DL, Wake Forest
101. Zachariah Branch, WR, Georgia
102. Eli Raridon, TE, Notre Dame
104. Jonah Coleman, RB, Washington
108. Zion Young, EDGE, Missouri
118 Jardarian Price, RB, Notre Dame
123. PJ Williams, OT, SMU
127. Max Klare, TE, Ohio St.
132. Treydan Stukes, CB/S, Arizona
133. Cayden Green, OL, Missouri
134. Zakee Wheatley, S, Penn St.
137. Keionte Scott, CB/S, Miami
141. Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF
160. Jelani McDonald, S, Texas
174. Carter Smith, OL, Indiana
178. Justin Joly, TE, NC St.
189. Rod Moore, S, Michigan
190. Romello Height, EDGE, Texas Tech
198. Niki Prongos, OT, Stanford
210. Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech
230. Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami
254. Drew Allar, QB, Penn St.
288. Jyaire Hill, CB, Michigan
319. Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia

The rankings are so stupid. Carter Smith at 174, Romello Height at 190, Akheem Mesidor at 230, Monroe Freeling at 319? Come on. So I'm mostly ignoring them.

What do I do at 96? Binkies Freeling, Prongos, McDonald, Wheatley and Scott are on the board. Lots of other guys I love.

I go RT at 96. Tough to pass up Zachariah Branch (101) and Jardarian Price (118), or EDGE, but protecting Drake Maye is my focus. Monroe Freeling would be my pick, but Niki Prongos and PJ Williams good options. Obviously, if I knew Freeling was 319 I would wait until the 6th or 7th round. But if Freeling were in this mock, I probably would have taken him at 32, definitely at 55. So I'm going to pretend Freeling is not in this draft. Tough call between Niki Prongos and PJ Williams. I would personally go Prongos, but I'm going to ignore him as well and go with PJ Williams. Campbell, Wilson, Siereveld and Williams will be a nasty line.

I took PJ Williams at 96, which in a real world would be great value. Now I have:

55. Austin Siereveld, OL, Ohio St. (52)
64. TJ Parker, EDGE, Clemson (70)
86. Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati (84)
96. PJ Williams, RT, SMU (123)

At 101 I am going DB or EDGE. Zion Young (108) would have been nice to pair with TJ Parker, but he is off the board at 99.

4 of my favorite DBs are still on the board: Jelani McDonald (160), Zakee Wheatley (134), Keionte Scott (137), and Treydan Stukes (132). OLs Cayden Green (133) and Carter Smith (174) are also still available.

I'm going to try to trade back from 103. Philly has 120, 122 and 137 and Howie Roseman loves to trade, so I offer 103 and 187 for 122 and 136.

Trade accepted! Now I have 122, 131, 136, 172, 191 and 193.

Now at 122 I take S Jelani McDonald, over Zakee Wheatley, Keionte Scott, and Treydan Stukes. Would have been happy with any of them.

Now I have:

55. Austin Siereveld, OL, Ohio St. (52)
64. TJ Parker, EDGE, Clemson (70)
86. Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati (84)
96. PJ Williams, RT, SMU (123)
122. Jelani McDonald, S, Texas (160)

At 131 I double up at DB. Wheatley, Scott, and Stukes are all still available. I want a nickle/safety hybrid, so it's Scott vs. Stukes for me. Take your pick. Scott is a binky, but is coming off of an injury, and Stukes can also provide some outside CB versatility, so I'm going with Stukes in this mock.

Now I have:

55. Austin Siereveld, OL, Ohio St. (52)
64. TJ Parker, EDGE, Clemson (70)
86. Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati (84)
96. PJ Williams, RT, SMU (123)
122. Jelani McDonald, S, Texas (160)
131. Treydan Stukes, CB/S, Arizona (132)

At 136 and 172 I'm going EDGE and OL again, with TE an option as well. At 136 it comes down to Akheem Mesidor at EDGE vs. Cayden Green or Carter Smith on the OL. I can't pass up the chance to build out the OL. I love both Green and Smith, going Smith here. A 2027 OL of Campbell - Siereveld - Wilson - Smith - Williams will be a beast.

Now I have:

55. Austin Siereveld, OL, Ohio St. (52)
64. TJ Parker, EDGE, Clemson (70)
86. Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati (84)
96. PJ Williams, RT, SMU (123)
122. Jelani McDonald, S, Texas (160)
131. Treydan Stukes, CB/S, Arizona (132)
136. Carter Smith, OL, Indiana (174)

Justin Joly (178) comes off the board at 151. Dang. Wanted him.

At 182 I go back to EDGE. akheem Mesidor (230) and Damon Wilson (147) are both available. Both are in my Toer 2 EDGE rush group, and day 2 values. All roads lead to Akheem Mesidor, so I ignore PFSN's rankings.

Now I have:

55. Austin Siereveld, OL, Ohio St. (52)
64. TJ Parker, EDGE, Clemson (70)
86. Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati (84)
96. PJ Williams, RT, SMU (123)
122. Jelani McDonald, S, Texas (160)
131. Treydan Stukes, CB/S, Arizona (132)
136. Carter Smith, OL, Indiana (174)
172. Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami (230)

TJ Parker and Akheem Mesidor would upgrade the pass rush big time. Jake Golday would also provide some rush potential.

My goals of upgrading the OL, pass rush/LB, and secondary have been achieved, at the expense of offensive skill players.

Now to round things off:

191. Jack Endries, TE, Texas (214)
193. Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech (210)
246.* Nyck Harbor, WR, S. Carolina (237)

I assume we will get 246 back from SF.

So my mock is:

55. Austin Siereveld, OL, Ohio St. (52)
64. TJ Parker, EDGE, Clemson (70)
86. Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati (84)
96. PJ Williams, RT, SMU (123)
122. Jelani McDonald, S, Texas (160)
131. Treydan Stukes, CB/S, Arizona (132)
136. Carter Smith, OL, Indiana (174)
172. Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami (230)
191. Jack Endries, TE, Texas (214)
193. Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech (210)
246.* Nyck Harbor, WR, S. Carolina (237)

I would love to find a way to get CB Jyaire Hill (288) as well.

I'd be very happy with that. OL, EDGE, LB and DB. 3 binkies. 2 mature prospects for Manx. Some late round guys with upside. Hunter would be a Tonga successor, and double up in heavy sets.

96. PJ Williams, RT, SMU (417; Niki Prongos is 85, Monroe Freeling 140)
122. Jelani McDonald, S, Texas (NR; Rod Moore is 73, Zakee Wheatley 104)
131. Treydan Stukes, CB/S, Arizona (322; Keionte Scott is 101)
136. Carter Smith, OL, Indiana (88)

191. Jack Endries, TE, Texas (74)
193. Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech (205)
246.* Nyck Harbor, WR, S. Carolina (186)

Lot of variation between boards.

I tend not to make picks I don't think are realistic or that I can justify to myself. So for example in my mock, Monroe Freeling was still there in the third when I picked PJ Williams. If that was true in real life, I'd have gone with Freeling but I just didn't feel it was realistic so I ignored Freeling and picked Williams which I felt was more realistic. I had doubts about picking up Branch in the 4th but I justified it to myself that Branch might fall because of his size. It was touch and go though.

Another take on the PFSN similation:

- At 32 I would take Monroe Freeling, but I tried back to 35 and pick up 103
- At 35 Freeling still available, but a lot of options at RT, so I can't resist trading back to 55 ton pick up a mid 3rd round pick and a 2027 2nd
- At 55 Freeling is too goid to pass up. I likely miss out on Austin Siereveld.
- At 64 I take TJ Parker, and at 86 Jake Golday.
- At 96 I double up on OL, taking Carter Smith, assuming Siereveld gone.
- I trade back from 101 to 122, taking Jelani McDonald at 122, and Treydan Stukes or Keionte Scott at 131.
- At 136 I take Cayden Green.
- The rest of the draft is unchanged.

I want Pregnon and either Siereveld or Smith with the first two picks. Assuming Wilson will be a C. That would be a best Oline. RT will have to wait for 27.

You want 2 guards with the first two picks? I endorse Siereveld or Smith in round 2 and I really like Pregnon but want to see who’s BPA at the end of round one before committing. A TJ Parker or Cashius Howell might make me go in that direction.

Preferably with a small trade back. I know it might not be a popular opinion but..I don’t love the edge class, I would like a Parker pick but I’m not sure those guys are better than guys who will be available later. AJ Haulcy might make me reconsider this strategy but again, I like some safeties that will be available later on anyway.

Where do people stand on Avieon Terrell if he was BPA when we picked in the first? It's a tough one for me. Terrell is awesome but possibly lacks the height to play outside as a full time starter so I don't really see him as a future Carlton Davis replacement. On the other hand, he'd possibly be the best secondary backup in the NFL and, as Dane Brugler compares him to Tyrann Mathieu, he's the type of guy you want to get on the field. It's just difficult when you already have Marcus Jones. I love the player but struggle to see how he'd fit on the roster.

Yeah Im with you. I’m not opposed to a corner but after re signing Marcus jones and with the season he’s having is hard to justify a slot corner.

Trevor Sikkema mock:

He has the Pats taking DT Caleb Banks at 30. I don't see it, personally.

He also has Cashius Howell going 7th overall.
It's interesting because his bottom 3, Caleb Banks, Aveion Terrell and CJ Allen aren't positions of need but are probably BPA. I think I'd rank those three in reverse order for the Pats: Allen, Terrell, Banks. Pregnon is a possibility going by need and then probably a trade back after that.

I'm going to make a bold statement here, not one I'm completely behind yet although I'm getting there. Zacariah Branch?

Right now i'd do.
Round 1 and 2: Any combination of Ioane, Pregnon, Siereveld, Smith. Goosby or Freeling if they come out (doubtful).
Round 3: Bray Hubbard
Round 4: Jyaire Hill or Keionte Scott and Caden Curry or Keyron Crawford
Round 5: Greg Johnson or Matt Gulbin
Round 6: Rasheem Biles or Justin Jefferson
Round 7: Hibner or Kacmarek

Could go Edge in round 1 or 2 but not a lot of options there. Load up the Oline!

I like it and matches my thinking on a number of prospects. Caden curry is increasingly appealing even if he’s just competition for Ponder and Swinson but a mock like this requires us to either sign someone in FA or re-sign Chaisson. I agree that there’s seemingly a scarcity of starter edges in this draft. TJ Parker if he falls maybe?

The only other names I would add other than my main binkies are Zakee Wheatley, Jake Golday (if he falls to round 3) Zachariah Branch, Logan Jones and PJ Williams. All 4 really interest me although the names you’ve got are just as possible.

Changing things up from a mock, I thought I'd do a full offensive and defensive roster of my preferred prospects while balancing out where prospects would likely be drafted.

Offense - 12 personnel
Defense 4-2-5

Offense

QB - Drew Allar - High upside backup. File under "why not?" (H/T Mayo)
RB - Kaytron Allen
WR1 - Zacariah Branch
WR2 - Malachi Fields (not sold on any later round WR yet).
TE1 - Oscar Delp or Eli Raridon
TE2 - Will Kacmarek
LT - Not needed
LG - Pregnon, Carter Smith, Ioane
C - Logan Jones or Matt Gulbin
RG - Keylan Rutledge
RT - Monroe Freeling or PJ Williams

Defense

EDGE - Akheem Mesidor
EDGE - Malachi Lawrence
DT - Lee Hunter
DT - Zxavian Harris (Ole Miss) - 6'7", 330lbs, 35" arms. A planet theory pick.
LB - Sonny Styles
LB - Jake Golday or Jacob Rodriguez
CB - Treydan Stukes (Cheating. I needed him and Scott on the team)
CB - Can't decide. I haven't found that one guy yet.
NCB - Keionte Scott
S - Bray Hubbard
S - Zakee Wheatley

This is great. Even though it's only a handful of Day 3 guys, it gives you pretty much a BPA Chart/list.
