Anyone who was ****ting on Tavai for his absence, or even just assuming it was evidence of some character flaw or misbehavior or some other negative personal issue needs to look in a mirror and contemplate why they made negative assumptions instead of assuming something like this.

Being sole parent to their one year daughter while his partner lay deathly ill for almost a week must have been emotionally taxing.

On the flip side, congratulations to him on ending up with such a wonderful woman as his partner, and best wishes to them!

Tragic, horrible news.

The fact he nearly lost his wife, too, is terrifying.

Their strength through this is incredible. I mean, it's rare to see. I'm sure the pain will be there for a while, but they seem to have a genuinely positive outlook on life and that's an inspiration.

If anything the feeling I got from the messaging around the team was it was personal. Just save the argumentative comment and leave your condolences. No Schillings around to be media blabber, thankfully.. I didn't hear anyone saying crap about him being away, just it was personal matter and the team supported him. Reading between those lines, you usually know it is either spouse or child, unfortunately in this case both. Thoughts and prayers.
