If you could bring back only ONE Patriot from the past, that has NEVER made the Pro Bowl in their career, to play on this team for rest of the year

UGH, I'm going to get a lot of hate for this but,
Aaron Hernandez (before I knew what we know now)

Look at you being all gracious and whatnot, that's some real growth right there. NGL I had hoped for expected more like...

Everyone is picking their binkies from year's past, that's all fine and good... but it's supposed to add to this year's team. This team could use another impact player, especially after injuries.

I'm adding Nate Solder to this team. He played at a near Pro Bowl level every year and got overlooked because fan voters had Patriot's fatigue. Another big punishing tackle would really put this team over the top.
Oh great pick! And thank you for fully understanding the assignment. I'd feel so much better with Solder at LT until Campbell gets back. When Campbell gets back I wonder if one of them could switch to LG. So far I think I like your answer the best as it's a definite need. Devlin is another top tier pick to help with our anemic goal line running game.

So my pick isn't the most prudent choice but I'd love to see a 2017 Brandin Cooks with Maye's deep ball accuracy. That would be highly entertaining to watch. I was a little surprised he never made a pro bowl in his entire career.

This team needs a Develin but because he got selected for one pro bowl, can put him here.

Probably Bryan Stork who is the best dynasty era Center but unfortunately had his career cut short.

Also Jabaal Sheard, Akeem Ayers, or Shaq Mason.
uh, have to disagree on Bryan Stork... Stork was a head bobber... teams could time snaps based on his tells... David Andrews was a much better center...

You’re probably thinking of the Denver road AFCCG, which I was at. It was insanely loud and they had to use a silent count. Stork was following Brady’s leg which Brady never lifted more than once. I’d put this on coaching or Brady far more than Stork. The OL coach, Gugs, was fired that offseason for what it’s worth.

Will do three - defense, offense, special teams... got the first one need to think on the other two a bit...

Defense:
Vincent "The Undertaker" Brown, 1993

Damn, we need to see those throwback uni's.

Rodney Harrison never made a pro bowl during his years here if that counts. Kind of disingenuous though because he made all pro teams twice. He did also make a couple pro bowls with SD. That player voting always kept him out for being dirty.

I'll throw out Roosevelt Colvin as a true spirit of the game answer. Never made a pro bowl at all (here or CHI) but was a highly effective edge rusher. Shame he had that hip injury his first year here, don't think he ever got all the way back. He'd be our best edge rusher and an every down player, which is our biggest need. You have him on one side and then Landry/Chaisson alternate running/passing downs.

Jonas Gray.

Just because it remains one of the craziest one-and-done performances I’ve ever seen and they still could use the RB depth.
In all seriousness (I had read something recently on Gray that made me bring him up), I'd have to agree with others on Blount/Develin. Either would be difference makers over Westover and would keep Tonga from having to fill in. Seymour got hurt in that role, so I'd prefer either of those two guys at this point, and each would be a massive help for a team that has had issues on {anything}-and-1 at this point.

Great pics! I think Matt Light would be perfect but he's been to the Pro Bowl a few times and Sam Gash went to a couple.
I actually compiled that from Pro Football Reference and they don't have Light in any Pro Bowls. As for Gash, the Patriot era Gash never made a Pro Bowl. He went to one as a Bill later. I tried not to include guys who began their careers as Patriots and became Pro Bowlers later with other teams.

Did you guys know Irving Fryar made the Pro Bowl with 39 catches and 700 yards in 1985? Talk about sending a guy to the Pro Bowl just because he was a high draft pick.

The next year Stanley Morgan also made the Pro Bowl with 84 catches and 1500 yards. 10 TDs.

Funny, I was going to say LeGarrette Blount for a similar reason, but someone beat me to it.

The candidates in order of value to this team:

1. Aaron Hernandez
2. James White
3. Matt Light
4. Kevin Faulk
5. Nate Solder
6. Shane Vereen
7. Deion Branch
8. Steven Neal
8.5. Roman Phifer
9. Rob Ninkovich
10. Don Blackmon
11. Sam Gash
12. Kenneth Sims
13. Ty Warren
14. Mosi Tatupu
15. Sebastian Vollmer

Matt Light made the Pro-Bowl 3 times. (06, 07, 2010)
Sam Gash made the Pro-Bowl twice (98 & 99) .

Personally, I would not have your 1st guy on the list..

I'd take Vollmer over Solder, honestly.

For FB, Marc Edwards was pretty solid for the Pats..

Stork was no where close to being the best Dynasty Era Center. That is Dave Andrews.

Develin for already mentioned reasons.

If the 2nd team all pro doesn't count, then Ebner I think would be a great addition to ST. I always cross wires between Develin and Ebner and mix them up, but it was when Ebner was on ST here, he was almost running the unit, picking out coverages and plays on punts. I'd like his input on how to play with the new kickoff rules and such.

Spikes would be awesome, but we'd want to make sure we had someone on the field who could drop into coverage if need be, lol. He could knock a player into last Sunday. Both Gronk and Kelce have said no one has ever hit them harder than Spikes.

I don't think Terrance Knighton had a pro bowl selection. If we could get PRIME Knighton and not the bowl of pot roast we got with him in 2016, I'd love it (apparently he started suffering cluster headaches in 2015 - didn't play a game for us in 2016, retired in 2017. Makes sense if the cluster headaches kept up; I've heard those are the single most painful thing a human can experience.) Barmore, Milton, and Knighton? Jfc. That's a terrifying mix. (Side note: Apparently he's actually a great coach. Nebraska fans had nothing but praise. He took the step up to FSU, dunno what Florida State fans have to say about him.)

What page on Pro-Football-Reference were you looking at because on Light's player page, they have him listed 3 times.

Knighton never made it onto the Pats 53 man roster.

Does being signed to a contract for an off-season from March-August no qualify "a Patriot"? Lol, Maybe I'm stretching the barrier for entry.

Okay, if I have to choose someone else, then I choose Dion Lewis or Blount. Lewis because, pre-injury, 2015 Dion Lewis will forever be one of my favorite seasons from an RB. But with our team rn, I think Blount makes more sense.
