I like the Patriots to beat the Texans in the playoffs. I think the Pats can beat anyone. But the Texans are probably more likely to upset the Pats in the playoffs than the Chiefs and I am talking before tonight’s game. Because it is unlikely the Chiefs make it now.
I would rather play Houston at home than Denver on the road (not surprisingly). Some years Denver seems to get a horseshoe up its ass.

Just please NO playoff trips to Denver.

If I’m not mistaken, would a Texans win next week and a Chiefs loss to the Chargers eliminate the Chiefs? Unless some weird round robin happens, that seems like it would be the case.

I would still rather face this year’s Chiefs.

And the 2007 Giants should remind you a team with a strong defense and not much of an offense can go on a hot streak and beat even a historic offense and team.
Problem is that in 2007, Brady wasn't as mobile as Maye. That counts for something.

In case you haven't noticed the Phins are now 6-7 with 4 straight wins and are not going to be the walk over we once thought they would be. I know it will be at home and cold, but it will also be their superbowl and possibly they will still be in the playoff hunt.

I thinkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk winning the bye is critical to the Pats getting to the superbowl. IIRC, I can't think of a single time the Pats won a superbowl where they DIDN'T win the bye or even got to one (well maybe 2011). All the rest of our games will be very winnable and we will probably be favored in all of them, even the Ravens.

the chiefs are “6-7” today

I don't care who we play.
I don't care where we play.
The bye is nice, but not essential.

I care how we play.

And if we play well, and are reasonably healthy, we will beat anyone, anywhere.

**** the Chiefs.
**** the Texans.
**** the Ravens
**** the Clots.
**** the Chargers.
**** the JAGuars.
**** the Squeelers.
**** the Jills.
**** the Broncos.

**** the Lions
**** the Bears
**** the Packers (sorry, Lambeau)
**** the Eagles
**** the Seahawks
**** the Rams

I sense a theme.

The Chiefs would be one and done in the playoffs. I want the Pats to win the Super Bowl. The Chiefs missing the playoffs is not a Super Bowl win.

I want the Pats to get the bye and not have to play a playoff game in Denver.
I don’t get why anybody here would fear Kansas City. There’s no Mahomes magic this year. They’re a bad team who are progressively getting worse as the season goes on

We shall see about Miami.
Phins have @ Steelers, Bengals and Bucs before the last game with Pats. I doubt they win more than 1 of those. I suspect they will have their bags packed and have no interest in showing up for a cold game in the Northeast.
Miami has won all 4 games by running the ball with Achane who is now banged up but also was shut down by Pats in earlier game this year. Pats would have everyone back on the d-line. Miami averaged 157 yards passing in the 4 wins.

#1 seed will definitely make it easier. However, I would be pretty confident against any team. The only team I'd want to avoid playing is Buffalo because Josh Allen and would be 3rd time playing.
Texans and Broncos have good defenses, but I'll take Maye and Josh vs any defense. I'm more worried about any offense that can score 30 against us which is just the Bills IMO.

I’ve gone on record already as saying this is the game I think we lose in the run in. Phins always find a way to beat the Pats, even when they’re a bad team. If it’s not a game for HFA Vrabes might rest the starters?

I think this Pats team will beat the Bills and the Ravens. The Jete are a joke and will probably be fighting for the #1 draft pick anyway.

Joe Burrow since returning from injury: 49/81.
The Bungals snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory thanks to Joe Cool. His passes for the most part looked like trash yesterday. Also the team was stupid trying to feed Brown when clearly Perine was having much more success. The Bills were delivered an early Christmas gift because they should have lost.
