Skyler Gill Howard of Texas Tech. He’s injured for the season but he really flashed for TT beforehand. Could be good value because of his injury.I like to keep it simple. 3-4? 4-3? In the end you have 2 edge guys and 2 interior guys. They are all 4-3s by a different name really, just slightly different execution. So looking at our DTs I ask myself... what do we lack?
Barmore 6'5 315, Williams 6'3 290 (looks more like 300 though), Tonga 6'2 335, Farmer 6'3 312. I am assuming they keep Tonga. Farmer has had some subpar plays at times, but also is flashing more and more and pulling good plays together. He is going in the right direction 6 games into his rookie season and i am feeling encouraged. I think he played lighter in college earlier but he is doing well at his current 310 or so. And I'd like him to stick to one size. So i am honestly feeling good about these 4.
But what do we lack? I think we could use a really quick inside guy like Aaron Donald (obviously we won't get that on that level, but the same type of player). And since if we sign Tonga DT won't be a a big need I doubt we pick one during day 1 or 2. But are there some raw guys who look promising in that mold? I'm not seeing anyone yet who fits that mold who isn't a high pick. Aaron Graves is the closest name I came across prior to this thread, but he seems to be moving up boards maybe or was already higher than i thought.
